Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Connect

We originally switched to GoTo Connect from another phone system because they include soft phones (phone app) for free. Our previous company charged us extra if we wanted the soft phones. Since the pandemic our team entirely uses the GoTo Connect app and have all stopped using the desk phones that were originally provided to us.
  • The mobile app works well
  • PBX is really user friendly and customizable
  • We love that we can customize our ringtones and hold music
  • It seems that they haven't fully transitioned away from Jive because the PBX sometimes loads the Jive version and other times loads the GoTo Connect version. I think I like the GoTo Connect version better but I can never figure out what the URL is for that version
  • We originally switched to GoTo Connect to save us money compared to the last company we used
  • They have unfortunately raised our prices since we originally signed up and have recently made us pay to allow our users to send SMS messages
Figure out what you want before you try and set it up. Once you know how you want the system set up then it is easier to implement because you already have a vision of what you want/need.
We only use it for phones. We use other services for video meetings.
We use Google Meet for video calls because we already use Google Workspace and with our work it is helpful to share our screens with our clients. GoTo Connect is used more for spontaneous calls or texts.

For employees who do a lot of phone calls this has been helpful so that they can keep their work calls separate from personal calls.
