Overall Satisfaction with GoTo Meeting
GoTo Meeting is used by associates in our business mostly for conference calls with non-employee contacts. We receive invitations from outside sources using various software, including Microsoft Teams, Google Meets, GoTo Meeting, among others. Internally, Teams is our preference, because it is used company-wide for chat and one-on one calls, so it makes sense to stick with that for internal meetings. We have the capability to use GoTo Meeting if external sources are not able to, or not comfortable using Teams.
- Connecting with clients or other non-employee business associates
- stable connectivity
- scheduling meetings, including sending invitations.
- Forcing new version downloads when joining calls
- chat messaging within calls is sometimes buggy. That interface could be streamlined.
- Positive: Able to satisfy requests from external contacts not using Teams
- Positive: Easy to accommodate start time with rescheduling if needed.
- Positive: Easy to send invitations, or add other attendees after meeting has started.
GoTo Meeting has basically the same toolset as the others. Teams fits better with our organization's structure, but GoTo Meeting allows us to accommodate external contacts who consistently use GoTo Meeting. I do carpentry when I'm not wearing my IT hat. I have several hammers. They all pound things. Each has a specific use. I don't use a 10 pound sledgehammer for brads, nor do I use a 4 oz tack hammer for busting concrete. Similarly all meeting software packages facilitate meetings. Each has its strong and weak points. We don't use GoTo Meeting every day, but we do use it when necessary.
