Overall Satisfaction with HubSpot CRM

We're a non-profit working in a business improvement area. We use HubSpot to track all the businesses in our assigned area, organize them into categories and industries that suit our needs, track our communications with the businesses, their locations, and any other additional relevant details. HubSpot allows us to stay up to date on who's communicating with what businesses without having to constantly cc people on emails. We can also map out businesses based on their locations, categories, or industries so we can see where we need to concentrate services, communications, etc.

  • The mapping feature is based on the company having a primary contact which can be inconvenient when you don't have a contact for a company. This feature is a work in progress, so I don't think it will always be like this.
  • If you're company isn't sales focused, you will most likely have a few features that you will have to pay for but not use, unless you creatively re-purpose them.
  • The "remember me/stay logged in" features don't always work, and you sometimes have to re-enter your login info.
  • We spend less time tracking down contacts
  • We spend less time tracking down historic information about companies
  • It's much easier to create detailed reports about companies we work with
Every CRM has a learning curve when you are first introduced to it. HubSpot was much easier to learn than other CRMs that I have used in the past and HubSpot has an excellent online learning portal for understanding all the tools and functions. A fair amount of the functions are intuitive and not hidden in odd spots.
HubSpot has better customization, is more affordable, has a mapping option, is more accessible to users new to CRMs, excellent customer support, and you can put together different software packages to minimize the features you don't use and maximize the ones you do use.

HubSpot is good for scenarios where you have multiple clients/companies that your business works with and centralizing that clients/companies info all in one place. It's especially good when you don't always have the same staff working with a company each time or if a staff member has to fill in for another staff member when they're away, since you can look over the past communications/notes with company all in one place.
