Overall Satisfaction with Insightly

My personal and business contacts are all in Insightly. I reviewed dozens of CRM systems before settling on Insightly. I have recommended it to quite a few small business owners, and I tell them that it's not perfect because there's no such thing as perfect software, but it's closer to perfect than anything else I've found. Another way to say that is all the systems I reviewed have flaws, but Insightly has fewer flaws than the rest. By the way, I am a former database and UI designer, so I'm capable of being super critical. I could make a list of UI improvements that I'd like to see in Insightly, but most of them would fall into the "nice to have" category. Insightly has a really good tagging function. I don't use the Tasks function because it's a bit too simplistic for my needs. I think the new email functions are a really great idea, but I'm waiting for the ability to do HTML emails and being able to save templates.
  • The tagging function is very good.
  • The Search function is very good.
  • The overall screen layout is very good.
  • The biggest improvement I'd like to see is in Contacts and Organizations list view - I'd like the ability to manually choose what columns of data are displayed, the order they're displayed in, and be able to drag the column widths.
I don't remember; it's been a couple of years since I did my research.
I can't think of examples of this. It's just a really good general purpose CRM system. One of its strongest points is its short learning curve.
