Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
We use Litmus for email/newsletter proofs. I write the copy in a separate Google Doc and this gets transferred to Litmus, along with the design template, etc. We use this as our way of giving feedback on how the email itself looks before it gets sent out to customers.
- Easy-to-see templates/designs.
- Ability to comment on specific areas.
- Notifications sent via email if someone tags you.
- Once someone comments, it can become quite messy to consolidate feedback.
- Sometimes the interface, if there are multiple templates to review, can be tricky using only the arrow keys.
- I am not in charge of the business aspect of Litmus, only reviewing the copy as I am a copywriter.
I do think it's helpful to see the designed templates BEFORE they go out to customers but from a business strategy level, I can't really comment on that.
This is exactly what I use Litmus for. Reviewing email templates before they get sent out, commenting on the length/style of the email itself, etc.
