Overall Satisfaction with Litmus
Our Marketing department uses Litmus to design the emails we send through our distribution service of Slate that targets our prospective students. We coordinate with our Admissions/Enrollment team, Communications team, and our Data team, but more so on a proofing level, less on the design of the Litmus process.
- Being able to click on sections of the display email and taking you to the code to edit.
- Compatibility with Trello.
- Ability to check how the email will display with various browsers and email providers.
- Auto filling in the end brackets for coding is helpful in moments when you're not sure if you're missing code or not.
- Writing & in the code when using common HTML code for that symbol, it still shows up as an error on Litmus, it would be helpful to have an info tab that reveals Litmus' preferred coding.
- It's unclear if we're using the tracking code wrong or not, but since an update a few months ago, we have 2 errors added to the email code when we add it.
- Sample email sends don't always come in a layout that is accurate (buttons overlapping at times), specific issues that only seem to occur with the test email send.
- Our team is able to easily access and see the emails we have waiting for review.
- Trello, Slate and by Technolutions
The email testing has been helpful with getting our team to proof emails before sending them.
I'm not sure we're leveraging Litmus to its full potential, we send the test email to the designer's account and share that email with the team and they send back the edits for us.
I can't recall all the other ones we've used, but the experience our Marketing department uses for Litmus is much different than any other company in the past, hard to compare. I do appreciate how easy it is to access the HTML coding, whereas others in the past only let you edit the front end/basic tools. Beyond that, it's hard to compare.
