Overall Satisfaction with Mailchimp

We use Mailchimp to collect and store email addresses from our e-commerce website. We then send out newsletters and utilize funnels to keep in touch with our customers. The product helps us to easily capture these emails, organize them, and then leverage them.
  • Building databases of contacts
  • Creating funnels for different customer segments
  • Provide analytics of customer outreach
  • Provide organization of new customers and contacts
  • More nuanced ways of breaking out customers
  • More design elements for the email templates
  • More collaborative tools for teams
  • Improved our ability to keep in touch with customers
  • Increased customer lifetime value due to more frequent communication
  • Provided additional insights on customer behavior
Mailchimp and Constant Contact seemed to be very similar in my experience. However, again, our needs as a small business are pretty modest and standard. We don't need a lot of bells and whistles when it comes to our email marketing. Overall, we went with Mailchimp because we liked the interface, and it integrated seamlessly with Shopify.
The platform is intuitive and fairly easy to use from the beginning. The setup and structure make sense, and it isn't difficult to find what you're looking for. It's relatively flexible and integrates well with a lot of other systems and software. It offers a short learning curve for new users and less technically-savvy individuals.
By allowing us to organize and integrate all of our email marketing needs in one place, we've saved time, money, and effort. We're able to get a clear picture of our audience and the analytics around our efforts. We're able to segment customers, make changes, and stay agile due to the efficiencies that Mailchimp provides us.
With Mailchimp, we've been able to increase sales, customer lifetime value and retain existing customers more effectively. We've been able to adjust along the way as needed, and we've learned a lot about our customers by looking at the Mailchimp analytics and understanding how our customers behave and what kind of content resonates with them most.

We are a small retail business, and Mailchimp has certainly served its purpose for us. We use their plugin to collect emails from our e-commerce website (hosted on Shopify) and then organize these contacts into different customer segments. We then send out occasional updates and newsletters, as well as funnels related to customer actions on the website. To this point, it has been a sufficient solution for us -- but our needs are quite simple. If you're a more complex business with nuances and intricacies to your email marketing outreach, you may have other requirements. However, I can say that Mailchimp has an intuitive and easy-to-use interface that has offered more than enough for our needs.
