Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I used MailChimp specifically for email marketing for b2b clients. The basic business problems that Mailchimp solved were -
- Basic segmentation with tags
- Automated email sends
- Simple and easy email designing
- A cheap CRM solution
- Reporting on marketing campaigns

In my opinion, segmentation is not that robust
In my opinion, Reporting needs to be improved
In my opinion, Complex automations is not possible
In my opinion,UI is not very intuitive

Return on Investment

In my opinion, cheap cold email marketing, which is good on the total marketing budget
In my opinion, data analytics is not good, which can cost a few dollars to business in long run
In my experience, no sales activity capturing which again cost a few dollars to business in long run

Alternatives Considered

HubSpot CRM, NetSuite ERP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement and Zoho CRM

In my opinion, it's cost-effective only and client was comfortable using this tool as they used it for years.

Usability

As the businesses scale the features that Mailchimp provides are present in a lot of other tools that have better and more robust functionality, in my opinion.

All-in-One Marketing Platform

- Social media management became easy with integrating linkedin and instagram with Mailchimp thus saving time - Email marketing was cheap and effective way of generating leads thus earning quite a number of deals - The tool itself is quite cost effective thus ROI on the tool was okay.
