Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

Marketo is being used by our organization to drive targeted content to prospective and current clients. With integration to our CRM and customer management system, we are able to flag contacts for certain themes and deliver tailored content per client type. It has helped us build our drip marketing strategy and continue to expand the reach of the brand. In the past we had struggled to have a source of truth for marketing campaigns and marketo has helped with that.
  • Allow for targeted marketing campaigns
  • Track effectiveness of those campaigns (click through and open rates)
  • Integration with the sales and services tools used by our organization
  • Complex to set up, initially I believe we had too many bells and whistles. Keep it simple.
  • More consistent feedback to the boots on the ground sales force. Let them know what content is deliver to their contacts and when.

We are trying to cross-sell specific products to existing clients and build brand awareness with new prospective clients. We have dozens of product offerings and there are specific subsets of clients we can target that we know are good fits for a product we offer, but do not buy it. Marketo helps us flag those and get the appropriate content in front of them. It also helps us continue to push content to new prospects as we are initially engaged and load them into our CRM.
Marketo replaced a home grown system and has given us increased productivity
Well suited to manage communication and marketing strategies for organizations that have multiple business segments and specializations. It allows you to deliver tailored content to specific subsets of clients and not mass email all 10k+ contacts or clients a company may have. On the reverse, I have a hard time seeing the ROI for a smaller organization serving a small client base.
