Overall Satisfaction with Marketo

We use Marketo within our B2B marketing team for lead management and sales insight along with Salesforce integration for CRM.

  • Flexible Salesforce synchronization options (controls leads synchronization by lead source or creation/modification date to prevent stale data from messing up markets programs) i.e. for lead analysis

Increase new business both by solutions and up sell. Marketo works well where our database is clean. Where our lead records are stale or outdated we struggle to be efficient.
Marketo was implemented prior to my addition to the marketing ops team. I evaluated Pardot and found it comparable, but we have not had the budget or time to further investigate or trial a new system.
  • B2B marketing is awesome.
  • Account based targeting, too.

Learnings & Advice

Implementing Advanced Nurture campaign design with default programs within nurture streams to control messaging frequency and target specific offers and messages has been my biggest success.
Adding special offers to nurture programs using nested default programs and campaign membership to exclude nurture members who are not eligible.
