Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro as a cross-collaborative tool to keep business stakeholders aware of current initiatives and progress. We also use Miro as a whiteboarding tool as we are currently in a Work-From-Home environment. When we are in the office, we use big whiteboards and lots of sticky notes for brainstorming activities, Miro replaces this need in the virtual environment.

Pros

  • Brainstorm with ease.
  • Organize thoughts with little time spent on presentation/icon alignment.
  • Display thought process and project design.

Cons

  • The pricing structure, getting more licenses is hard to achieve due to the price per user system.
  • Auto sizing of multiple objects placed on top of each other.
  • Placemats behind templates to visually separate templates.
  • Reduced project alignment timing, improved brainstorming productivity.
  • Assist with visual thinkers in a virtual environment.
  • Decreased team budget since we pay per user.
My company made it streamlined to request and download the application with SSO and procurement.
We used Microsoft PowerPoint for visual brainstorming, so this is MILES above that.
Immediately solved the issue of a lack of a white-boarding tool to guide us through the virtual work setting.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Powerpoint is not suited for brainstorming, it is suited for presenting. So Miro is amazing to guide us off using a presenting application for brainstorming.
Tableau Desktop, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), Slack
Well suited: cross-collaborative brainstorming and project design. Quickly visualizes ideas where we normally would have spent significant time in Microsoft PPT.
Less Appropriate: presentations to anyone outside of the brainstorming group. Need to use company fonts, colors, etc.
