Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro a lot in our Online Workshops, in different departments. The tool supports us in our daily work, preparing the workshop, during the brainstorming exercise, guiding the discussion, useful to make a decision, showing results, moving ideas... It gives us the opportunity to show the information in a funny and useful way.
  • Present the information.
  • Organize the information.
  • Link the information.
  • Show results.
  • You need time for non-user to use it for the first time.
  • You have to duplicate it, if you want to keep the "first model".
  • Reduce the handicap of online workshops.
  • Can be used also offline, in presentation workshops.
  • Reduce the time to prepare workshops.
The implementation of Miro in our online workshops gives us the support to organize the information, gives participants the opportunity to communicate their ideas, put in the correct section of the map/ chart, add comments, move to post-its in the virtual map, link ideas, build the map, exchange ideas/ results and documents, do the work in a more effective and easy way. Introduce/include pools, videos, documents,etc.. Facilitate the compilation of the work done during the online workshops to translate it into reports, deliverables, papers, and other kinds of research deliverables.
The learning curve to integrate Miro is higher than other simpler online tools, however, Miro has a lot of tools inside, like pools or videos, for example, so you do not have to use different tools at the same time, you have all in only one tool. Also Miro you can easily create different scenarios, modification charts/maps... you can design on your own, freely. So you can properly design the framework for your work, different for different situations/workshops.
It is great! we can continue working and collaborating from different locations. Preparing and performing online workshops with many participants. Miro supports us to elaborate our work, share it, and present results, internally and externally. We use the tool a lot in different situations and in different contexts. The results are easily shown to the audience.

  • MURAL (formerly Mural.ly)
The tools and templates provided by Miro, give Miro a better performance against Mural. A lot of freedom to design is a key point too. In general, Miro is in the upper level of development.
Miro will support your work during the online workshop, but you should keep some time to update your audience with some skills, otherwise, it will be a mess. You have a lot of tools to use inside Miro: links, videos, pools, ... It is also useful to organize your ideas, to present them to other people, inside your research group or outside. You can export the information/results to Excel/PDF files, so it is great! You can also take a picture of your panel and copy it and paste it into your deliverables and reports. It is a good tool for me and my colleagues.
