Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is currently used as the digital analogy of a whiteboard. We mainly use it in two scenarios: first, when doing team ceremonies. For instance, it is very useful when doing team retrospectives - everybody is allowed to create sticky notes and/or add the visuals that he/she wants. Secondly, we use it when doing feedback loops with stakeholders. The same sticky strategy is used in these meetings.
  • User-friendliness with new users. It is very easy to use and you get familiar with it in almost no time.
  • It is very cool to have a big canvas so you can have different scenarios within the same environment.
  • Visually is very attractive. It allows for copying images from the web in a very intuitive manner, enhancing the visuals with almost no effort.
  • Whiteboarding in the classical way is difficult.
  • To the best of my knowledge, there is no equation support.
  • Desktop application sometimes gets stuck.
  • Reduced project completion time.
  • Improved team spirit.
  • Faster feedback loops.
I was not responsible for the Miro implementation, so I don't have visibility in this regard.
I have the feeling that it is easily integrable with all of the tools that we use in the business.
Mainly, it has reduced the time involved in the feedback loops from stakeholders. We are able to meet synchronously in a more efficient manner thanks to the possibility of using a virtual whiteboard (Miro).

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Well suited
It is well suited when doing team ceremonies that involve a fun part (more visual) and a more serious part. This is cool given the fact that the canvas size is huge. Moreover, since the learning curve is quite steep and not all the colleagues have experience using Miro, people get used to it very fast.

Less appropriate
When doing classical whiteboarding and/or typing equations.
