Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

Project management and serves as a source of truth for our project related data which is connected to document automation.
  • Automation
  • Customization
  • Simplicity with just the right amount of specificity to solve individual use cases
  • Centralized view of tasks across different boards
  • Subitems are very limited with automation/connection
  • Certain obvious automation seem limited (i.e., would like to be able to do more with automation that occurs weekly)
  • Time savings
  • Simplicity to repetitive tasks
Only thing holding it back is certain integrations I want to use do not always have obvious features (i.e. messaging in Slack to a specific person) and it'd be nice if templates included automations that connect different pieces.
We have not needed support.
We have not had any problems with reliability and uptime.

Biggest challenge is the lack of a centralized view of tasks across different boards.

Do you think monday.com delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with monday.com's feature set?

Yes

Did monday.com live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of monday.com go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy monday.com again?

Yes

It is very wide open and you miss some level of value if you are not willing to experiment with automation and programming it for your use case. It is VERY easy to learn, but it would not be very useful to use out-of-the-box, and our system seems to improve drastically each month.

Flexibility helps us a ton for our specific use cases. Wish there was a centralized view.

Using monday.com

Evaluating monday.com and Competitors

Yes - Notion. Not purpose built and lacked automation.
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
I looked at lots of products, the automation available with standard package and general simplicity of ordinary user experience was above and beyond anything I looked at.
If I started with monday.com I would not have spent weeks looking at other products.

Quick Initial Response
None
No, not something we need. Have not required barely any support.
Tried to setup workflows with subitems... was very impressed that the response was basically, "that feature is just not very useful for what you want to do, but we are working on it" instead of trying to propose alternative workflows or disagree with the need for what I want to do (as if I am the problem and not the software) which is what I experience from other providers.

  • Customized automations
  • Providing a centralized view across multiple boards
  • "My tasks" is not useful because of how it is setup
  • Alerts get very noisy
Yes - Works great. Wish I could interact with desktop web interface on mobile (even if performance was bad) to do a random task unavailable in mobile (i.e., setup an automation)
