We use NetSuite as our General Ledger, close our books on a monthly basis, run internal and external reporting, recognize and invoice revenue, run data queries (Saved Searches)
NetSuite is integrated with Bill.com for Accounts Payable and Expensify for T&E
We use it for multiple currencies, subsidiaries and consolidation

- Custom Reporting
- Sometimes takes a while to load new pages
- Roles and Workflows - sometimes complex - when trying to expand use case - need for a consultant
- NetSuite reduced our overall time to close and time to complete audit
- Search functionality makes it easier to do analytics on a timely basis
- Standard reporting and saved searches allows for more complex excel models outside of software
I have used NetSuite, Intacct and QuickBooks. If I were building an accounting function (budget aside), I would always pick NetSuite as my ledger. I think it is far superior to other general ledger softwares on the market. NetSuite also has so mean features, modules and there is a lot it can provide to a business depending on your industry and business model.
