Overall Satisfaction with ON24

ON24 is used globally in our company as an internal training tool, and also as a product awareness and technical training platform for our customers. The on-demand version is added to the content generated by our experts, and is used in social media as content marketing campaigns in several languages. We take advantage of its simplicity and connectivity with marketing automation platforms such as Marketo to speed up our lead generation process.

  • Screen share is the same case-- very high internet speeds and bandwidth are needed. We have not been successful in using it.
  • The certificates could benefit from more advanced editing tools to allow us to include our business branding.
ON24 is indeed integrated into our marketing automation platform, in this case Marketo, but not directly integrated into our CRM. However, Marketo is, so we have connectivity in place. It has helped our lead generation, lead management and scoring, as well as making our lead qualification to be more precise and quick, releasing resources we used in the past for more manual webinar platform vendor/processes.
While platform and service availability is normally something we can trust, we had a couple of service issues with two events, being that we got kicked out of the platform and could not log back in during the middle of the events. Fortunately, emergency support helped us to stop recording at the requested time. Customers did not report any issues, so it seemed to be a back end issue. The second problem is that customers constantly complain (about 25%) about not getting audio at their first login. They get it to work when we ask them to refresh or change browsers.

  • It has helped us to generate a lot of pipeline. I can't specify amounts, but the ROI has been achieved year after year with no problems.
  • ON24 increased our customers' engagement, especially on the tech side of our products. They then invite their customers, so that has also helped our brand awareness.
While Cisco is widely available as a core software in our company, it's not the full version, so customers had to call to a conference bridge to get audio, which increased costs. More importantly, service was not available in all countries, so we have had a lot of complaints for that. Also, the registering and communication processes were very basic and not integrated, so it was very resource and time consuming creating an event.
It's best suited for short to medium training sessions, announcements, and product launches. It also works well for presenting a business product portfolio at a high level, and then other sessions for categories. It's easy and powerful to create series for a specific topic. Customers started to like it, and then asked for more.
ON24 is not well suited for long training sessions, as people may get bored and start doing other tasks on the computer.
