Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Ooma Office supports our official company phone number. We use it in the office, our laptops, and through the mobile app. It is being used by everyone in the office. Ooma Office solved two main business problems. It reduced our phone and fax service costs significantly and it provided easy mobile access to calls and messages.

Desktop phone app could be included in basic plan instead of extra.

Alternatives Considered

We didn't actually try or do any research on any other service since I had Ooma at home for 7 years before and was confident it would work for us.

Support Rating

We had a few after sale questions like timing on porting and some of the Office features that I did not have with the Ooma home solution. Each time the support was great and timely. But since then (3 years ago) we haven't had to use the support services at all. It simply works.

It is a perfect small business solution where you have a strong and reliable internet connection and want to port your existing # and use your existing phones. That was our case which is why it has worked out very well. The monthly cost savings was significant which made the upfront cost for the device easy to accept.
