Overall Satisfaction with Paycom

Our organization has been using Paycom for a couple of years and although I can't speak for other departments, myself and my team use it for clocking in/out and time requests/approvals. It is much simpler than the previous software we were using, I oversee 4 individuals and it I love how simple it is to approve their timecards, view their requests, and make comments and adjustments when needed. I can see everything I need with just a few clicks!
  • The layout is clean and straightforward. When our company began using Paycom I missed the initial orientation but I was so pleased when I realized how simple the interface is and that I was able to quickly figure things out on my own without having to bother HR!
  • One of my favorite features of Paycom is Batch Approvals. Whether it's requesting time off or approving time cards, Batch Approvals are simple and time saving! I also love that I get notifications when people put in a time request. Personally, I don't need to log in every day, so it is helpful to have that notice in my inbox letting me know there are approvals waiting!
  • It is so easy to make adjustments with Paycom. Since my team isn't always in the office and is often filming at different locations, every now and then someone on the team might forget to clock in or out. Initially I was worried about that being a hassle to fix but when I realized how quick and easy it was to make corrections to time punches I was so relieved! Now I don't worry about having another "to-do" on my list if someone forgets to clock in because I know it will only take me a minute to correct!
  • It would be convenient if Paycom had the option to sync or send time-off requests to my Outlook calendar. I live and die by my work calendar and it would be a time saver to not have to create an event when someone will be out of town after approving their request in Paycom.
  • I have an employee login where I submit my own requests for my supervisor to approve as well as a client login that I use as a supervisor to approve time cards and time requests for my team. It would be nice if I were able to do everything under one login. This is the only thing I find disappointing with Paycom.
  • I only oversee one of the smaller teams in our organization so I do not know this information. Our HR and payroll use more aspects of Paycom and would know the ROI. All I know is it makes my job as a supervisor simpler!
  • Time Force
Before Paycom our company was using Time Force. It was a decent system but I remember having to contact payroll or HR to help me or make adjustments. I remember when we switched software thinking "ugh, now I have to adjust to a new system" but things have been so much smoother across the board since we started using Paycom, I love it!
I think Paycom is good for medium to large companies as it is easy to search and view individuals' time cards and requests. I wouldn't say it isn't suitable for small companies, but I think larger companies would benefit from it more since they have the responsibility of keeping track of so many people. I don't think it would be beneficial to startup companies with only a few employees to keep track of.
