Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

Prior to implementing Paylocity, all personnel files were in paper form. Performance reviews were done on paper. Any changes were done via a paper form for signatures. Now, everything is automated. We scanned and uploaded personnel file documents into Paylocity. We are nearly paper-free, and everything is extremely efficient. Performance reviews are completed in the platform. Payroll is easy and integrates well with our various benefit carriers.

  • At times, upgrades happen without prior notice. Advance notice would be preferred so we are prepared.
  • The mobile application has limited functionality for administrators.
  • Reduced errors in payroll (previously paper timesheets needing data entry!)

  • Data insights extremely helpful when making decisions and reporting to the Board
Thanks to our processes being more efficient with Paylocity, I am able to focus my time on the more strategic aspects of Human Resources and things that truly impact our organization.
Paylocity's engagement tools are nice, but they have had minimal impact on our organization. It's just "one more thing" for our employees to use. We have tried to incentivize employees to use Community and Impressions, but it came with minimal participation. We do, however, use Surveys often, and I do find them to be helpful!
UKG Pro was just much too big for what we needed. It seemed a bit overwhelming. While they say it is customizable, the thought of having to get it to where we wanted it was overwhelming.

Paylocity is a great platform for a small or medium-sized organization. If payroll is complex, requiring significant customizations, the platform may be too limited for the organization.
