Paylocity is Nearly Perfect
Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We utilize Paylocity as or HRIS source. We recently transitioned from utilizing Paycom to Paylocity, and see it as an upgrade from that software.
Day-to-day, we utilize for payroll, onboarding, employee file maintenance, performance reviews, and PTO and benefits administration.

Pros
- Intuitive platform. Easy to navigate and troubleshoot.
- Straight forward functionality, not a lot of work arounds are needed like we had with previous cloud-based HRIS.
- Employee interface is easy to navigate.
- Reporting is robust.
Cons
- Customer service response - long time for solutions to issues and no progress updates along the way.
- During implementation, it would have been nice to have had a shared tracker with our consultant so both parties could track progress. Similar system would be helpful for open tickets with the dedicated specialist.
- Ability to send eDocuments outside of Onboarding. We had this feature in Paycom and it was used frequently.
- We would have loved to use Paylocity's ATS, but it did not have enough bells and whistles to generate the detailed reporting we need as a government contractor.
- It's a bit difficult to use the "User Access" and creating various access profiles.
- Reduction in errors
- Streamlined processes
- Reduced costs
Payroll has been a breeze and tracking promotions/terms/new hires has been great as well - all have been a huge upgrade for us!
We have just started to dip our toes into using Community and we have a desire to utilize Impressions. Community has been well received and is very easy to use and monitor activity.
It would be great if Impressions could connect with 3rd party vendors for prizes/gift cards.

Paylocity is night and day compared to Paycom. We had a terrible time doing everything in that system from payroll to benefits admin to general personnel info tracking. The worst things about Paycom (besides the software) was their customer service, which never answered questions directly, and their product roll outs that would impact your data and we'd have to go in and make fixes after-the-fact manually. They never gave us any warning and we always found out by happen stance.
