Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity
We use it for our hourly employees clock in & out and for all employees payroll, benefits admin, and 401k contributions. It was more DIY than I expected it to be but the Knowledge Base is very intuitive and I think I've learned way more than I would have if we still used a large brand like Paychex that handles everything internally.

- Pay entry is super straight forward and I love that you can do a 1-time special check.
- Customer service is impersonal.
- I have to have a timeclock profile to manage things even though I am salary, so we're paying a monthly fee for a timeclock profile that I do not use.
- HR actions are a little jerky.
- Reduced errors on paychecks
- Data is very accessible for quick problem solving
- Saving money on physical time clocks
Positively. The payroll process is efficient and transparent so if there's a problem with someone's check its easy to find the problem and resolve with a one time payment.
Honestly I haven't really had a chance to deep dive into those but it seems like valuable data to have.
Its much more in-house for us which I think helps us understand our costs, wages, and fix any problems quicker than waiting for a rep from the company to look at the complaint.
