Overall Satisfaction with PrinterLogic
We have 18 branches all across US and Canada, and we used to use our local AD servers as a printer server as well on each branches. But we wanted to retire those AD servers to simplify our network, so needed a cloud based printing service. PrinterLogic provides not only easy driver installation for users, and also management console for admin which is very easy to use and is convenient to manage printers scattered all around US and Canada!
- It's actually not printing from cloud server but provides local printing using local IP address port, so it won't cause company wide network problem!
- Easy installation for users
- Easy management console
- Good customer support
- When run a printer job report, it might be good if I can select the individual printer from pull down menu or something
- Sometimes it doesn't work if I simply change a driver, need to delete a printer then recreate as a new one
- Less claims from end users regarding printing
- Less effort to manage printers
- Easy printers inventory control
- running cost is relatively high but feels more benefit
We considered to create several printer servers as a virtual server, but it might cause the network traffic issue. On the other hand, PrinterLogic use the network only when installing printers, and after printers are installed, it will be local direct IP printing so it doesn't cause a network issues. Also it provides simple management console so easy to manage all printers in one place.
