Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase

Our communications department of about 10 staff uses custom Quickbase applications to track job details and store biographical info for success stories of some of the youth served by our programs.
  • It's fully customizable to store the exact information you want, how you want to store and retrieve it.
  • You can create different applications to handle different objectives.
  • It's browser-based so there's no software to install and maintain.
  • Integration with task managers like Evernote would be nice.
  • It works well for us for individual tracking but collaboration isn't its strong suit.
  • More documentation on how the formula language works. I had lots of trial and error trying to figure out some of the more advanced functions and the documentation seems lacking.
Some staff have bought in on the advantages but others only complain about what it's lacking or what they can't figure out.
Fully customizable.
It's not hard if you can find sample formulas. However, sometimes I had difficulty finding the right syntax to make the app work the way I wanted.
  • Solving a specific business challenge
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
It's great for database storage if you want a fully customizable option. The downside is that you are building it from scratch with scant documentation.
