Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct
Currently, we are only using Sage Intacct as a finance and accounting system. From attending Advantage and connecting with so many other partners, I can see we have so many opportunities to use Sage Intacct throughout our organization. We are still in the implementation phase in a lot of areas and could be so much more effective for the investment.
- We use the inter-entity modules and this has been a huge help and time savings to us. The entries in the background save a lot of time
- The new automatic bank feed and bank recon are helpful and will be a great help to our treasury group.
- Smart rules are great for mandating certain information required by users.
- Posting Details: Especially for the inter-entity transactions. These are hard to follow and you have to open several screens to see all sides of the transactions.
- Bill back process for multi companies. One to one set up does not allow companies to bill each other easily.
- Prepaid module: What is this really for? The entries should post automatically.
- Recurring general journals should be able to be set up from current general journals.
- Too soon to tell really! We have spent too much time and added resources during our first year of implementation. Unclear if this is due to our organic growth or the system changes. Probably both.
We were using a system where we automated some of these processes before. Since this is still year one of our implementation we are currently exploring more and more of our automation options. There is a great deal out there and it can seem overwhelming.
The multi-entity model has been very time-saving. Eliminating double entries and duplicate work and the chance of human error by not posting one side of an entry. There are limitations such as the one to one feature of the bill back process, but overall the process is seamless. More transparency is needed to see the posting in the background would be another request.
