Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

We use Intacct as the primary accounting software across the entire organization, which includes the offshore parent company and one wholly owned US subsidiary. Intacct has resolved the issue of creating monthly consolidated financial statements.
  • Reporting. Intacct has a very robust financial reporting package, that is extremely robust and customizable.
  • API's to numerous vendors. Makes integration with other packages very easy.
  • Multi-entity. Intacct handles multiple entities very easily, making month end closings a piece of cake.
  • Help is a little hard to navigate. I would prefer an online users manual with a searchable index. The Intacct community does provide a lot of good information, it just takes a little time to find your question or issue.
  • it is too soon to tell.
I believe Intacct has sped up our monthly close and made the process smoother. We are working out the bugs and tweaking our processes to get the most out of Intacct.
The multi entity module has allowed to cut days of the monthly close. Prior to Sage we were using Quickbooks and the rollup and consolidation was done manually in Excel. The time spent in converting to Sage Intacct has already paid off.
I had completed Sage Intacct implementations in the past. Sage provided one of their specialists to assist if needed as I progressed through the set up, data conversion and importing of data. We saved money doing the implementation ourselves, but having a Sage specialist in my back pocket provided a great measure of security.

Do you think Sage Intacct delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Sage Intacct's feature set?

Yes

Did Sage Intacct live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Sage Intacct go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Sage Intacct again?

Yes

Multi entity capabilities and the "dimension" structure resulted in our choosing Intacct over the others we evaluated. Sage has incredible reporting capabilities and the ability to easily customize reports and dashboards tipped the scale in our decision making process.
Sage is not for very small businesses, The cost of the package and implementation makes it too expensive for very small entities. However, if you have multiple operating entities or multiple locations, Intacct may be the best solution. Dimensions allow you to slice data easily, in many directions.

Sage Intacct Support

In general support is very good, the support team responds in a timely manner, I am old school and would like a searchable users manual where I can find answers to my own questions on my schedule.

Using Sage Intacct

Intacct is a very robust package with a lot of capabilities, all of which can take some time to understand and use to their full potential. Once you get over the learning curve, then things really take off.
