Overall Satisfaction with Sage Intacct

Sage Intacct is our main accounting software. We use it company-wide, with executive leadership utilizing their custom dashboards to employees utilizing the time and expense module. The dashboards allow the executive leadership to see exactly where we are with our spending based on each contract. Prior to dashboards, there was a significate amount of manual reports being pulled and provided to leadership. With dashboards right out of Intacct, there is less likelihood for human error.

Pros

  • It is extremely easy to navigate and user friendly.
  • The audit trail is a wonderful feature that is easy to pull and understand.
  • Creating customized dashboards allows for different information to be provided to individuals based on their needs and job; it is not a "one size fits all" report.

Cons

  • Although the import function is great, when there is an error with an upload, the error messages are very hard to understand and decipher.
  • Designing several of our reports did require assistance from support as it's a bit hard to understand how to set the report up.
  • The ease of the software has saved a significant amount of processing time, allowing us to focus more on growing our company and less on processing.
  • The reporting has made it easier and more accurate with less chance for human error, allowing us to focus more on the report information and less on creating the report.
Intacct is the easiest accounting software I have worked with. Daily processing takes very little time to learn. I did not give it a 9 as creating some of the reports can be difficult.
We do not deal with Sage directly, rather we have a 3rd party vendor we work with and they are wonderful.

One of the main features we purchased Sage Intacct for was the automated features. Our daily accounting process for AP and AR is simple and quick. We have saved a significant amount of time because of these features.
I have not used other systems personally.
Our accountant utilizes the import feature for both accounts payable and accounts receivable. The function allows us to import over 700 line items with very little effort. The customized import files have saved us hours of work. However, if there is an error in the import, it is very difficult to decipher the error message that is auto-generated.
