Competitor increased price by over 3000% and I am glad they did. This encouraged us to look for ScreenConnect and we are never going back!
Overall Satisfaction with ScreenConnect
As an outsourced IT support company for small and medium businesses, we utilize ScreenConnect as a means of remote access for our customers. We use both unattended and ad-hoc connections as needed to connect to and maintain our customer's computers and networks.
- Lightweight installer
- Both unattended and ad-hoc utility
- Customizable interface and grouping options
- Excellent support
- Owned by a company that constantly listens to feedback and adds features
- Good feature set: wake lock, locking of keyboard/mouse, reboot and reconnect - including safe mode, etc.
- No file system or registry access without remote connection
- Limited reporting on computers or groups of computers (pulling event logs, installed programs, etc.)
- Positive. One price for unlimited agents allows us to not worry about installing on as many computers as possible.
- Positive. Ability to see what connections are already in session and connect. This allows managers to drop in to remote sessions and train technicians and assist if needed.
- Positive. Lightweight installer and good video encoding allows for more effective access to customers with low bandwidth.
- LogMeIn Central and UltraVNC
Historically we have used LogMeIn and TeamViewer. When we selected ScreenConnect we trialed GoToMyPC and Bomgar. We found ScreenConnect to have the best feature set for the price. We have the added benefit to having used ConnectWise and LabTech for several years so we have a relationship with the company that runs ScreenConnect and have had an excellent experience with these programs. Any features that may be better with the competitors I am confident ScreenConnect will work on adding these features and listening to our feedback as a customer.
