Overall Satisfaction with Smartlook

Smartlook helps us understand users' behaviors and the good points and what needs improvement of our application. It is also an incredible tool for supporting our users. Looking at a user's session is worth more than a hundred messages exchanged over a support ticket. The ability to go and look for a specific user and session helps us understand what the user is going through and fix issues before they get mainstream.
  • Record user sessions.
  • Index user's metadata for later research.
  • Heatmap of user's behaviors in the app.
  • Analytics is lacking compared to competitors.
  • Better understanding of what needs improvement in the app.
  • Better support for users.
We had trouble implementing the SDK at the beginning (it was the beginning of Smartlook as well) and getting proper feedback took some time. It has now improved and I don't think we will encounter the same issues when setting it up, and the documentation has greatly improved.
The dashboard is very usable, features are self-explanatory and it's easy to search for information (a user, a session, etc.).
In terms of analytics, we are still using other products, which are more suited to our needs and more complex. In terms of user behavior and session recording, this is by far the best tool there is!

Smartlook is particularly well suited for tracking a user's session and providing help when supporting them by looking at an issue directly as it happened on their phone.
