Overall Satisfaction with SmartRecruiters

We use SmartRecruiters as a full applicant tracking system, integrated with PhenomPeople on our front-end careers page. We use it to obtain job hire approvals and post job ads to our careers page and other integrated job boards such as TradeMe, LinkedIn and Seek. We also track external and internal applications, process applications through the hiring process (reviewing screening questions and CVs, phone screening, interviewing, submitting applicant comments and ratings, declining applications, and submitting job offers). Our SmartRecruiters is also integrated with DocuSign, allowing us to generate offer details inside SmartRecruiters, which can then flow through to DocuSign to generate contract paperwork. We utilise back-end reporting as well to track our hire and turnover statistics.

  • Job approval chains would be better with additional qualifying fields so that we can segregate different areas of the business better

SmartRecruiters' open ecosystem has a massive positive impact on our utilisation of the tool in our business. The integrations with PhenomPeople for our careers site, job boards like TradeMe and Seek, and contract application DocuSign improve our overall experience, time to hire, contract turnaround time, and user experience. Without these integrations the return on investment wouldn't be nearly as high.
The recruitment marketing tools positively impact our business, as we often use social media, and have a lot of internal applications and mobility, as well as using multiple job boards to reach different audiences based on the job type. These are a key part of improving the process for our recruitment team, as well as improving candidate experience by reaching them where they prefer to job search.
We previously used SnapHire which required a different account for each of our brands, and SmartRecruiters has been a vast improvement for our business in integrating our brands onto one applicant tracking site. This improves both the recruiter and hiring manager experience, and is much more user-friendly for tracking job approvals and postings, and tracking candidates through their applications.

Yes

Well suited overall for job creations and postings, applicant tracking, and offer creations. Useful for dealing with small and bulk applications, and when you need to post the same types of roles multiple times/regularly. It is more useful when integrated with other systems, e.g. a front-end careers site and a document signing system, to maximise the end-to-end usage.

Integrating SmartRecruiters

I've been loosely involved with integrations on multiple occasions. Support from the SmartRecruiters team is generally good, but there have always been a few hiccups with each integration. Once the integration is in place however, the efficiencies and improvements are worthwhile.
Yes, we've integrated SmartRecruiters with our HR System. - We don't have an HRIS, but we have integrated SmartRecruiters with other HR applications successfully. This has maximised our return on investment and improved the recruiting process for internal teams and external candidates. We have integrated with Phenom, Seek, TradeMe, LinkedIn, and DocuSign.
SmartRecruiters was brought on to replace our previous ATS that required an overhaul, and since then we have built up our candidate pool on the system and implemented it well into our organisation. The benefits the system provides to us outweigh what other HR suites we've looked at can provide from a recruitment perspective, as SmartRecruiters specifically caters to applicant tracking.
We use multiple job boards, external assessments for certain roles, and Ministry of Justice background checks.
