Overall Satisfaction with SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor

SolarWinds Server & Application Monitor is currently being utilized to monitor the status of our physical and virtual servers. It’s also set up to monitor our Wi-Fi usage. If anything goes down, it’s configured to send an alert to our team to investigate.

Pros

  • Wi-Fi traffic monitoring.
  • Physical server monitoring.
  • Virtual server monitoring.

Cons

  • A simplified way to add the dashboard to a Sharepoint page.
  • Could be a less resource intensive product.
  • Less time spent troubleshooting our servers.
  • Easily accessible traffic monitoring.
We haven’t used any other alternatives, but we are very happy with this program so far!
If you have an environment with a mix of physical and virtual servers, this product is a must-have! However, if you only have a few servers to monitor, you could probably find an easier or cheaper option.
