Overall Satisfaction with UltiPro
We use UltiPro for Recruiting, Open Enrollment, Time Collection, Payroll. A positive experience for our family. Ease of access for our employees to view and update their information was a step in the right direction for our company and we are looking forward to taking advantage of even more features as quickly as possible.
Pros
- Viewing of employee information.
- Entry of Time.
- Scheduling time off.
- Approval process.
Cons
- Roll over of PTO has been a struggle.
- Off cycle payrolls are a struggle.
- Reporting is a struggle.
- Integration is a struggle.
Using UltiPro
Administrative, Service, Delivery, Sales, and some wear many hats. We are a propane company and there are many areas of retail and service. We like to provide products and services that make people comfortable in life.
2 - System Specialist and System Analyst works for us. We do not require a large staff which is one of the great things about this software.
- Payroll - staying up to date on all aspects and timely and accurate tax reporting
- HR and open enrollment - has made managing so much easier overall
- Recruiting and On-Boarding - this is still improving and hope with time will be easy for all.
- We are still exploring these possibilities.
- Compensation Management
- Position Management
- All that may make the experience even better.
UltiPro is more costly but we receive so much more than our previous systems. Time savings is a definite benefit, but we managed to open up other areas to consume it. Having one focal point of access to allow viewing of information has been such a blessing and we are continuing to grow and learn. We wish to expand on security but this so far has been positive experience.
UltiPro exceeds in comparison to anything we have ever used.

Integration and ease of use and open enrollment process and accurate payrolls and holding of information to report on.
Nothing. We did our due diligence. This was the correct product for us.
UltiPro Implementation
Yes - Core HR and Payroll first.
Recruiting and OnBoarding next.
Performance Management in process.
Compensation in future.
Dashboarding and Reporting - on going.

Change management was minimal - We did not get a seasoned implementer. It hurt our implementation but we managed. I would insist on a more experienced person if had to do over.
- Or implementer did not steer us in the correct directions and we had to redo much and suffered issues after go live, but we managed and just had to live with some of the decisions made.
- Sign on security. We wanted single sign on and were told could not have it. Found out later we could. Still have not implemented because it is a big change.
- General Ledger was a total mess and had to be reworked several times taking countless hours to straighten out.
- Implemented in-house
UltPro was our implementer so I am not sure how to answer this one.
UltiPro Support
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Kept well informed | Poor followup Escalation required Slow Initial Response |
No - Been there done that. I despise premium support theory.
Yes - Still an issue each year on PTO rollover.
I cannot. There have been issues. Efforts to resolve issues is definitely there in the support staff, but it rarely smooth. Technical team is extremely disconnected if one needs to work with them.
