Overall Satisfaction with WatchGuard AuthPoint
Our whole company uses AuthPoint as an extra layer of security for MFA when logging into their VPN client remotely. It addresses security concerns for weak passwords.
Pros
- Simple setup.
- Simple end user usability.
- MFA compatibility with Android and iOS.
Cons
- MFA app could work better, sometimes needs to be re-installed to work.
- Better logging for MFA issues such as user sync, and reasons to why users can't login.
- Positive - security.
- Negative - time consuming in supporting users sync issues or device activation.
WatchGuard has great documentation, and we use it in our product stack of firewalls which is why we thought it'd be a good compliment to use it for MFA. It was easy to use and setup with good documentation and support.
Yes, we benefited from this setup because we didn't have to setup any equipment to use it. This saves on maintenance cost and is very simple to set up.
Yes, this has been well received by users as they feel familiar and comfortable with their own device. It's easy to deploy and install the app. Very quick and responsive to login requests and approvals. Users have no issues with using it.
We don't use secure SSO.
