Overall Satisfaction with WebPT

We use WebPt as our EMNR at 4 of our outpatient practices, we see patients for physical, occupational, and speech therapy. WebPt is easy to use and navigate. I think that customer service is hit or miss; you either get someone who is helpful and can direct you in the right direction or you get someone uninterested in helping and will send you an article to read (often times not on the subject you are asking help with). I also have noticed more glitches, freezing/reminders not working, unable to add patients/providers. New additions are added regularly but at an additional cost. Overall, very user-friendly and easy for practitioners to use.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Organization
  • Reports
  • Scheduling

Cons

  • Inconsistent functionality
  • More helpful customer service
  • expensive
  • Freezing issues
  • loading issues
  • Increased claim reimbursement.
  • Increased compliance to state laws.
  • Increased patient attendance.
Therabill has been very helpful to our clinic; although a bit more of a learning curve than WebPT, very easy once learned. Therabill makes it easy to track claims and monitor for payment. Therabill's customer service, much like WebPT, is either hit or miss as well. But, overall makes billing much easier.

Yes

Perfectly used in a small outpatient setting. Significant help with scheduling and management of patient caseload. The most beneficial feature is compliance tracking. WebPT also provides reminders to patients which helps with attendance and overall revenue, although at an additional cost. WebPT streamlines and helps to organize patient and clinic information in an easy-to-use format.

Using WebPT

20 - Admin and clinical.

  • Documentation
  • HIPAA compliant software
  • Ease of communication with MDs
  • Authorization Management
  • Report management
We really love the features of WebPt from scheduling, patient case mgt, authorization management, ease in communication with referring providers, compatibility with billing software. We are not a fan of the additional cost for each new feature. Years ago, we would reap the benefits of improvements, but now a days it seems every positive additional will cost additional money.

Evaluating WebPT and Competitors

Yes - Therapy Notes
Prompt
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
Ease of use was the most important factor for our clinic. We are focused on patient health and do not want to be bogged down learning a new system. Our front end has been able to learn very quickly the features most beneficial clinic. The system is really set up to make for an easy experience with clinicians which was most important to us in today's health field.
I would probably be sure we are locked into a price without increases. More difficult to switch platforms after transferring all patients to new EMR system.

WebPT Implementation

Take your time, play around before doing learnings. Most features have multiple ways to use them.
Change management was minimal - n/a

WebPT Support

Some support correspondance is very helpful. Other times, you will wait quite a while to speak to someone and in some cases rushed off without an answer- provided articles unrelated to question to read; this can be frustrating in a busy clinic.
ProsCons

Good followup
No escalation required

We added a clinic several years back to WebPt and the team was exceptional at helping us to get all billing and clinic information set up successfully in a timely manner.

The times that it does go down is very inconvenient for the clinic and care of patients.
Yes, mostly loads quickly and efficiently except when it goes down or glitches.

Integrating WebPT

Therabill, easily used with Webpt. Patient information carried over for ease of use.
  • Therabill
It was an easy process. Programs are meant to work in conjunction with one another.
No advice we have only intergrated Therabill which is a product of Webpt.

Relationship with WebPT

Our original vendor that we worked with was fantastic! Helpful throughout the entire process.
Expensive, all new additions to the program cost more money and are typically not included.
