Overall Satisfaction with WebPT

We used WebPT as our sole scheduling and EMR system for a large PT practice. This product was used to help with managing patients schedules, plans of care, and communication with the patients referring provider. The aim was to manage a large waitlist seamlessly and make the EMR process as smooth as possible as we are a very niche practice with a high volume of demand as well as a requirement for highly detailed documentation.
  • Color coding for appt types
  • Ease of printing high volumes of documentation
  • Scanning documents to attach to patients files.
  • The pricing is not very flexible
  • The wait list feature is hard to use
  • The integration with their billing system is terrible
  • Keeping track of visits used can be difficult.
  • Multi clinic use can be very clunky and result in miss scheduling patients
  • Excessive scheduling mistakes with no means to identify the who and why
  • Good patient outcomes through detailed documentation
  • Insufficient functionality for patient retention
Sadly, no. There were a lot of functions missing that could have helped our practice a lot but aren’t functions they had or seemed interested in implementing.
Honestly, no. As I’ve said, it was initially a good system but as our practice grew there was so much functionality missing that we really needed to be successful.
WebPTs EMR system is much better than Kareo but their patient engagement system is essentially non existent compared to both HENO and Kareo. HENO’s system much easier to use and the fact that billing is already integrated into both HENO and Kareo makes both of them a much better option even considering Kareo’s worse EMR system.

WebPT was, initially a great product. They were the first to really specialize in a PT only system that provided some much needed functionality (plans of care, home exercise programs, contacting referring providers directly through the system) but I have felt for a while that they were very much resting on their laurels. One one the biggest features missing was an audit log where you could see who made changes to appointments. The fact that they don’t have this one function was a huge detriment. Not being able to trace a scheduling mistake to then be able to implement further training where needed is one of the factors that prevents me from recommending this system. It’s also quite a lot more expensive than other systems and they refuse to look at any volume pricing for a large clinic such as ours. they are asking a premium for a non premium product.
