Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

We use it to administer commissions to our internal sales teams and to our our external channel partners.
  • Reporting for the individual salesperson to review their account.
  • Search functionality to look across the business for managers.
  • Customizable for the different plan types.
  • Not great for Channel Partners - they want multiple logins for one account.
  • Cannot push out statements in an automated way to external partners.
  • Integration with other systems is not easy.
  • The more plans we automate the more efficient we have become in consolidated reporting.
  • Our plans are not stable during the year and change quite often and sometimes requires SOW process to update which is not a quick process.
  • It has made it easier as our sales teams have grown to keep up with the growth.
We are using the data to look at rankings by teams as well as across the teams. We are also using it to design and budget for new plans/annual planning.
We did not have all our plans in Xactly in the past years as they changed over the year and we needed to resort to Excel. We have automated all of our plans in the system and are not going to allow calculations outside this system. We are building all new analytics reporting this year and plan to review the forecasting tool and determine how we can use that to provide better reporting.
We do not have any integrations at this point but would like to integrate Tableau and Zift partner portal in the future.
Sales operations is currently the only user outside of Finance and they are using the data to determine rankings across the sales team.
We had evaluated SAP's product a few years ago but did not see them as having a better product. We also use Xactly Express which we are planning to migrate to Incent.
It works well for internal sales teams where the individual can view their statements and the detailed deals assigned to them.
It is not as suited when paying large partners who want access to the system for multiple users. Each partner account can only be set up with one login email. We cannot automate pushing out of statements to partners using the email set up and have to manually email the statements. The Channel partner programs change quite often and not easy to update the system easily and a lot of work gets done outside of Xactly.
