Overall Satisfaction with Xactly Incent

We use Incent to manage 40 different payment plans across 2000 retail partners under a dozen Master Agents in 5 countries. Our compensation structure is at both an organizational as well as a personal level and Incent provides the flexibility to do that. Incent allows us to calculate complex compensation structures quickly and accurately so we can pay our retailers in an efficient and well-organized way. We appreciate that it is user-friendly and gives us the control to manage our comp plans.

  • Affordable, overall Incent is an affordable product and competitive in the ICM world
  • Xactly specializes in compensation, we do not. Having an in-house system built by internal IT resources takes up resources and time and is often not even close to being as well thought out.
  • Having a management solution reduces error, duplicate and over/under payments.
We can easily see trends in the data and how that is driving performance based on historical and current data. This assists us in making decisions on how we might change our plans going forward.
We mainly use Incent data for our sales planning and forecasting. It is great that it is all at the organization's fingertips. In addition to that it makes it easier for the larger audience company-wide to understand how compensation impacts our business as a whole. There are still many tools that Xactly offers that we do not utilize and could.

Incent is a well-designed and easy-to-use system to calculate and manage sales teams. Until recently we have been using it to manage and calculate compensation at a company level rather than an individual level. Using it in a sales team scenario is flawless but there are some quirks that come along with using it in a way that it was not necessarily designed to handle. It would be wonderful if Incent's design had the ability to turn off certain features in specific plans so that we could better leverage some of the features.
