EchoSpan 360-Degree Feedback Tool

As a 360 assessment it rates very well when compared to our previous vendor. 360-Degree Feedback is more affordable so it allows departments to avail themselves of the opportunity to help their team members learn more about themselves, which would have been cost-prohibitive with our previous vendor.The support department has been FANTASTIC! Quick responses on all any small issues and easy to work with for customizing templates. The system allows us to add rater groups and increase the group sizes easily.

  • Competency library is robust - includes pretty much any competency that you would need
  • Excellent customer service, both online (demonstrations of how to) and via phone/email
  • Completely customizable - different targets can have different competencies, rater types, rating scales, etc.

  • HRIS - UltiPro allows us to capture all employee data in one place and accommodates the various jurisdictions in which we operate (esp. currency conversion using our budgeted exchange rates).
  • Reporting - UltiPro has a very robust reporting tool that allows us to analyze our workforce data.
  • Customer Service is very responsive and helpful. Cases can be submitted online which makes them easy to track. The customer service team follows up by phone but also updates the online case with recaps of all conversations as well as the final resolution. This makes it easy to refer back to the solution if you encounter the issue again.

  • Interfaces: We began our activation with UltiPro in April 2017 and despite our best efforts internally, our interfaces with carriers (medical, dental, etc.) are still not in production. We had almost no support until October 2017 to get this done.
  • Some lack of control: There are things we have to go to UltiPro to do for us versus doing ourselves, which can cause delays unnecessarily.
  • UTM and Core: There is definitely a disconnect between core and UTM. This needs to be much more seamless.

We are a large employer and due to other critical projects the need to replace the system is not a priority. The system works well for us and is always evolving. Due diligence is always necessary, but feel that the partnership we have with Ultimate Software is solid and will continue to grow.

Ultipro is by far the very best HCM solution that I've used, and I don't mind acting as a point of contact to anyone that might be interested in hearing from an actual user about my experiences with the suite. Ultipro can pretty much handle anything that you throw at it, while ensuring that what you throw at it is compliant with federal and state regulations. It really is quite simple to use and only gets easier to use the more you use it obviously. I would encourage anyone that is having issues with the suite to partner with their customer success manager to tackle anything that is at any point problematic.

Getting help is as close as a phone call away, with online chat tools for quick payroll questions, Their customer success portal is a great place to get information, manage cases, and even share reports that you use that might be beneficial for someone else through BI Exchange. For first time users of UltiPro, they have multiple training opportunities throughout the year, and users can log into webinars and weekly calls that Ulti experts host quite often. Training is either web-based, or at a training facility, whichever you prefer.Also, one word of advice is to reach out to your aptly-named Customer
Success Account Manager if you need any assistance. Ultimate ensures that each account has a dedicated account manager for you that can work with you whenever you need advice or to have something resolved in your environment.Every time that I reach out to my account manager - or call the 800-number, or use the online chat feature, or venture into the customer success portal for documentation - I always find what I am looking for, and that gives me peace of mind in using UltiPro for my payroll and HR/Benefits needs.

Alternatives Considered

I've seen or used several of the other 360 tools. EchoSpan is better in nearly every way. It is more customizable. It can be administered completely by someone internally, so no need to request someone to set up a 360 - you can just do it yourself. Competency library is great, and you can create others if you want to. Reports are easy to interpret. Very good customer service
