EchoSpan 360-Degree Feedback Tool

As a 360 assessment it rates very well when compared to our previous vendor. 360-Degree Feedback is more affordable so it allows departments to avail themselves of the opportunity to help their team members learn more about themselves, which would have been cost-prohibitive with our previous vendor.The support department has been FANTASTIC! Quick responses on all any small issues and easy to work with for customizing templates. The system allows us to add rater groups and increase the group sizes easily.

Global companies, companies with employees over 100, multistate employers and anybody looking to improve their HRIS system. Companies with only a few employees would not be best suited for this product as I think it is meant for mid-large size companies. Ultipro also offers a lot of support for Canadian companies.

  • Adding a new hire to the system - This process is simple and easy and value rules can be used to make this even simpler.

  • UTM PTO Balances - These are inaccurate when you are processing timesheets in arrears and the balance brought back in from Core HR/Payroll is inconsistent with what is in UTM.
  • GL Actual Accrual Reporting - It was suggested to move to bi-weekly payroll but then there is no way to report on the actual accrual on a monthly basis. I have heard a report is in development but is not available yet.
  • Mobile App - The mobile app works great for what is working but it has taken a long time to get timesheets incorporated and is still not ready yet so we have not rolled it out to the organization. When this comes, we will have to test thoroughly.

We are overall happy with UltiPro and it works well for our organization and we have plans to expand our usage of it even more so we will definitely be continuing with the product. We are thinking of adding the functionality for training and recruiting as well, which is an add-on product

Ultipro is by far the very best HCM solution that I've used, and I don't mind acting as a point of contact to anyone that might be interested in hearing from an actual user about my experiences with the suite. Ultipro can pretty much handle anything that you throw at it, while ensuring that what you throw at it is compliant with federal and state regulations. It really is quite simple to use and only gets easier to use the more you use it obviously. I would encourage anyone that is having issues with the suite to partner with their customer success manager to tackle anything that is at any point problematic.

UltiPro has met all of our expectations and provided us with the tools needed to build our employee and management supports and to report the results whenever needed. The program has grown and been modified to keep pace with changes in recruitment practices, and our employees find it easy to access their information and change benefits at any time. Our support staff has been freed up to focus on other areas of business growth. More of our HR processes are automated and need only approval of the self-service processes.

Nov 2018 Update: In-person training is a must-do for anyone wanting to get more familiar with Ultipro. Going to a live class is ideal because it allows one to network with peers in or not in your field, but more importantly you can spend time with an Ultipro expert (instructor) that has that added inside edge (knowledge) that makes one want to learn just a bit more to be at the same level as the instructor.

April 2016: I've been to more than five in-person training sessions and each and every time the instruction has been superb. I had never used UltiPro prior to March 2016, but their Intro classes were so well-designed and at a reasonable pace that I was quickly able to learn the platform and even fall in love with the ease of use. Once the in-person training is complete, Ulti even has a rewards program of sorts where the classes you take rewards you with points that you can trade in for novelty items or additional specialized training and gift cards. Pretty cool!

I implemented UltiPro on my own (as we were short-handed), in addition to my other duties, and was able to stay on track with our original implementation timeline. The process is laid out in a very detailed method. This was by far the most thorough and easiest implementation that I have been through

Workday is the answer for much of what Ulti lacks but the price tag is cost prohibitive. Ulti has a lot in common with ADP Workforce Now, both the pros and the cons. If you hate ADP WFN, you'll struggle with Ulti too.
