Smaller less technically staffed companies should avoid it. For mid-size companies with a serious need for a email solution, it might be worth considering if the staff involved in using the product isn't afraid of technically looking stuff. The staff that runs the servers (if it's on-premises deployment) needs to be fairly technical, and willing to dig into issues and errors that will arise.

Clarabridge

The tool is awesome and the survey tool that was demoed for me is truly one that will be a game changer. I've actually been on site with clarabridge and they are awesome and they truly have a bright future in this industry. As HR analytics takes off and continues to grow, they will continue to become a key in how different talent, initiatives, etc., are assessed and can truly get an insight on the voice of employees on many possible initiatives.

Pros

  • Useful interface – Adobe campaign presents everything Adobe style, which is easy-to-use, easy to understand the information that's presented toward you.
  • The information is there when you need it – the program shows you exactly what you're looking for, and everything is at 100% accuracy. It was the driving force in helping us decide where to move next.
  • The program is always updated, and the customer service is always helpful; we never ran into any problems working with their team whenever we had a question.

  • Categorization: It is able to take the data and truly put into different categories based on what you create/ choose in the admin panel.
  • Sentiment analysis: It creates a sentiment (which you can edit) for every single word in the survey.
  • Customer Service: they are very quick and on point with requests and communicating new releases as well as training/ assistance.

Cons

  • There's always room for improvement with the interface. The UI is amazing and works very well, but, as a designer, stuff like this is always a work in progress.
  • A little slow to load – sometimes the program takes a while to start up. I have a high-end Mac, and I'm sure it's not my machine that's the problem.
  • The program crashes every once in a while. It'll just freeze up. Not sure why.

  • Not that they are not awesome but things could constantly improve on the NLP for sarcasm based comments ( I know it is a machine and this is hard but It is one of my only frustrations)

Despite the shortcomings of user interface and basic troubleshooting difficulty, Neolane is much more robust and delivers better capabilities to our sales and marketing staffs than any other product we have used here or any product our staff members have used at other locations.

I would say that generally the knowledge of the support team we work with is good, great even.I can't say that they seem to be very interested or involved in trying to make the product work best for us.They do what needs to be done, and they do it well - but not really going the extra mile.

Alternatives Considered

Look, Adobe Campaign is the best program to use for your online media marketing. Adobe understands what online marketers and social media strategists need, and deliver the proper tools necessary for them to be successful. I swear by Adobe, they've earned my trust and I will continue to use their programs throughout my career. Everything else is just...noise. Until I find a program with better customer service than Adobe, I will always be a fanboy.

Clarabridge is far superior and the two truly can not be compared or spoken of in the same category. I would be open to the discussion of the many differences

Return on Investment

  • It's driven up our sales/clicks 100%. Now that we're able to target our audience and what drives them, we're able to determine what the best course of action is with our online marketing campaigns.
  • I really wouldn't say there's much of a negative connotation, except for the fact that everything is updated via Adobe Cloud, so it can get kind of pricey if you're a smaller agency – either yearly subscription, or a monthly fee.

  • Well, due to the organization not truly pushing it for its value, we have struggled on this. We have seen great insight into certain projects when trying to improve certain processes or management structure and seeing the decline in those categories for term reasons/explanations but that does not truly say that the problem is fixed. You could draw a parallel but living in assumptions can cause more issues.
