Refinitiv Eikon is an open-technology solution for financial markets professionals, providing access to data, insights, and exclusive and news.
AlphaSense makes it easy to get to the right info quickly. The coverage of industries and companies for broker research is much more than the other products. AlphaSense also includes detailed financial info for companies and its AI-based summaries are helpful.
AlphaSense's smart search functionality is a huge differentiator versus these peers, particularly its ability to easily search through broker research (versus just filings/transcripts). In addition, AlphaSense makes it much easier to review multiple documents at once, and the …
AlphaSense is very differnet from other simlar tools I have used. However, it is very powerful for doing the things it is designed to do. Its search engine feature is among the best and most user friendly that I have used.
I really like AlphaSense but it's not a stop shop. For broker research / keyword search, its the best. But it doesn't have private company info, debt info, or the level industry metrics that PitchBook, Bloomberg, and CapIQ have. Additionally, it doesn't have financials at the …
Some of the other products listed above provide much richer private market research than AlphaSense. AlphaSense does not provide their capabilities at the moment, and so we need multiple solutions for our goals. Eikon is more similar to AlphaSense. Their search capabilities are …
AlphaSense is highly superior when it comes to Refinitiv in terms of ease of use, integration with multiple data sources, smart search result keyword highlights, and AI company summaries.

These databases are rather great at what they do. For example - MergerWare is great at M&A deals, BamSEC is great for company docs, etc. However, as an analyst, you have to craft information across these data sources which is what AlphaSense helps us with.
AlphaSense gives me market intelligence far better than the other tools. As a strategist, I need analyst reports, press releases, earnings transcripts, transcripts from corporate events (non-earnings), and materials shared in those events. AlphaSense is perfect for market, …
We found the entire customer experience to be significantly better with AlphaSense than with Refinitiv. There are three key areas where AlphaSense was superior: 1. The price of AlphaSense was also lower and a better value 2. The user interface was more intuitive and faster to …
AlphaSense is getting close to Bloomberg Terminal, yet still not yet there, as I have pointed out earlier. By market intelligence, Bloomberg Terminal can conduct more tasks than simple information search. For instance, they have teams of industry coverage or AI to conduct some …
AlphaSense has a superior search engine, which allows it to get very targeted research and news - thereby helping to cut down on noise, and improve efficiency and insights - which Factiva lags. On the other hand, it has more features compared to Sentieo or Amenity Analytics.
It's a totally different tool vs financial terminals etc, much more focused on generation intelligence vs just monitoring capital markets. If you are looking for financial data AlphaSense is not your option, but for market/competitive intelligence, it's fantastic.
