I've used a number of course authoring software (some of which the names slipped my mind) and Articulate Rise is by far the easiest to learn and the most professional output.
Saba Cloud has a more straightforward user interface than Cornerstone OnDemand, but the simplicity is not always a benefit. We moved from SilkRoad because of its lack of features. Saba Cloud has a more features than SilkRoad, but fails to make those feature accessible in an …
I was not part of the process to select Saba, but based on team feedback, we went with Saba mainly because of its capabilities in reporting and analytics. We also chose to use it due to its learning environment capabilities and the potential for growth that the system has in …

Saba has a competitive LMS with both Brightspace and Canvas. It offers class and course management that is easy to use. It out classes the others by its use of assessment tools and analytics. Where Saba excels is in its talent management system. Being able to track users and …
Each of the other platforms we used or researched had their own specialities. Some were excellent for specific uses. We wanted a tool that had a more comprehensive package though with performance, compensation and succession planning. This way the tool could grow with us. Given …

Saba was extremely similar to Cornerstone, but we decided to go with Saba because of the cost of implementation and the integration with job competencies.
It’s simple to learn and allows you to bring the ideas from your mind to life. It limits the need to buy outside products because there are built in images, characters and videos. However, you can still import external items to enhance your project. It’s a great tool that I would recommend to anyone.
Our organization uses Saba Cloud primarily to manage all types of learning systems or staff training empirically. In addition, it provides us with a quick test-based follow-up to the trainees. We use Saba Cloud to train our clientele in a professional manner with respect to our worldwide online service. With this tool we are able to enhance the customer experience with the organization. Similarly, our organization uses Saba Cloud to monitor the performance and effectiveness of our employees and customers after having access to all the information provided by the application to subsequently make learning and development reports.
High volume of prototyping feedback and interaction with members, incorporating them into the development of process.
I really like the use of the AI generation feature. It’s quick as simple and it provides not only detailed options but in case you don’t like those options, you can still save them for a review later.
Skills Management - Saba has allowed us to set specific expectations for employees based upon their role, and this has clarified the skill requirements for employees.
Goal Management - With Saba, managers can easily create goals aligned up to senior leadership, and then work with their direct reports to create supporting goals.
Learning Management - Using Saba's built-in Smart Lists, assigning compliance training is a simple process that used to be a challenge in our former LMS.
I haven't seen any other platform for developing learning materials that is as comprehensive or as reliable as Articulate has proven to be for our use. Because our group has a number of PowerPoint power users, the PowerPoint integration with Articulate is particularly beneficial.
Typically customers that acquire a Saba solution rarely move away. There are reasons and "legends" behind this. The investment is significant. Time and money are required to make the engine go smoothly. But once it runs at full capacity, it doesn't stop! Professional Services are extremely competent and able to close implementation gaps quickly.
I rate Articulate 360's usability at a 10 because. First, the UI is easy to understand. I don't spend precious time searching for the right tool. The UI is laid out beautifully and simple. If there is hidden features, I have not needed them or looked for them. In my opinion, anyone used to working with software will have no trouble using Articulate.
As someone who creates classes and is also a learning administrator in the system, I have run into some issues with the system's capabilities for my needs. I am not a fan of having to use Adobe Captivate to download a PowerPoint presentation into the system, as my training sessions are much more than a glorified PowerPoint. Our organization has yet to turn on Saba Meetings, which may help with these limitations.
I rate the overall support for Articulate 360 with a 9. On the one hand because of the smooth and accurate support from Articulate's support team (usually within 24 hours) and on the other because of the commitment / use of a community (e-learning Heroes) where I have all kinds of insights from other helpful users.
For the times that we have used the support provided by Saba, it has been a very pleasurable experience for our department. Part of our package with Saba includes a specified number of hours of "training" time with Saba. During these meetings, we have shared our desires of the product and the support personnel have either shown us how to accomplish our task or they have taken our requests to their developers to look at future enhancements. Overall, very pleased with the support.
The online training options given by the online tutorials, forums, and "E-Learning Heroes" community are simply awesome. Examples galore, easy to understand descriptions including step-by-step guides, images, occasionally videos, and the "Articulate Insiders" sub-community give you more materials to learn about Storyline than you are likely to be able to read.
Outside of having to dedicate a powerful enough PC for the installation and having to update Flash in our browsers there really isn't much pain involved in using Articulate. For the most part this is an easy to implement and roll-out product. The installation occurs quickly and smoothly with no additional steps needed.
For me, since I had used Articulate prior to using Lectora, I found Lectora to be very archaic. It was cumbersome to create triggers, and I had issues getting my scenarios to play correctly. My company switched to Articulate after my request, and I was able to recreate all of our modules into Storyline. Now I am able to manage our scenarios with efficiency and ease. Articulate products are intuitive and very easy to understand
We had extensive reviews with a plan of what we needed and must have out of the system, including custom learning paths and tracking inside our HRIS system to grant permissions and positions based on completed learning certifications and courses. We weighed each option and chose based on the one that met the most of the must-haves.
Definitely more accessible course creation. How we're able to add accessibility features into our trainings is unparalleled with captioning, with voice overing, with alternate texts for images. There's so many ways that it creates our trainings to be more accessible for our audience.
This may seem small but with 90% of our workforce not at our main facility just the fact that since July 1, 2021, we have had over 18,956 compliance-related training completed by our staff. Do the math the ROI is wonderful.
