Echobox

Echobox works best for publications that release articles such as [newspapers], magazines, etc. If your company relies on content created by a designer, you won't really use Echobox's ability to pull the content from your website and create the posts for you. You can still add your own designs though.

Socialbakers Suite

SocialBakers is great for scheduling content since it allows you to upload content, add copy, schedule it for a time it will get the most engagement and eyes, and pass it along the approval pipeline for your organization. Additionally, the reporting and analytics tool provides a comprehensive overview of campaigns. I do not recommend SocialBakers for community management. The process is too complicated and takes far longer than other tools available

Pros

Echobox

  • Echobox automation is invaluable; the fact that it can intelligently automatically schedule articles within seconds of these being published on our website saves us a huge amount of time
  • I find the AI message option particularly useful when rescheduling content. Although it does not always pick out the best quote, most of the time it does a good job and again saves a lot of time
  • Having the option to schedule content immediately as well as in a specific time-slot or day is also very useful

  • Post Performance Prediction helps you lower your CPC as well as increase the amount of engagements you receive on your Instagram posts.
  • Quickly and easily understand the paid content strategy of your competitors, but also justify your own promotion budget as a result.
  • Detailed chart that outlines the predicted interactions that each post will receive in the upcoming hours.

Cons

Echobox

  • "New share" can only share URL, not caption+url.
  • the AI-[assisted] caption seem to only copy quote, not exactly the most interesting piece[.]
  • Would be great if there's an option that a Facebook post and twitter post can be made as one.

  • In the publishing calendar. It seems like I have to change my filters every time I login. Would be nice if it could save our settings from session to session.
  • Dark posts parameters are set. Not having to be able to customize further has turned us away from using that feature in Socialbakers.

It is one of the simplest tools to help community managers or journalists (in my case) to publish on a corporate page with no hassle and in a quick manner. Such a tool is such a gift and time-saver when every little action counts in a day!

When there have been problems, they’ve usually been resolved very quickly. Some issues have occurred such as not being able to download images or posts not going out when the service has crashed, but they’re also very open to feedback. The option to download pictures loaded into the feed stories was my suggestion; saving us time creating new images and getting the posts out quickly

We use the Echobox ranking for sharing and resharing the content at the best moment, plus we can edit the titles and the images before publishing on social networks. With Zapier, for example, we publish the content when the RSS feed was updated. Now we can reach the best moment of the day to share.

Socialbakers' team is more open to have conversation about the product. They are more helpful and their customer service is way better. They almost do same things, however Socialbakers has a cleaner interface and it is easier to use by the team

  • Actually this is not a software that can give you exactly an ROI, but obviously, it gives you the metrics of how your campaigns are doing.
  • It gives you great insight to make decisions based on the statistics. Which is the best “ROI” I think.
