We use Join.me for demos of our products. The ease of a special URL and desktop window share on the fly is why we use Join.me. GotoWebinar is more for promoting larger events in advance and not for use on the fly.

I have been using many tools, like Skype, join.me, and Google Hangouts. GoToWebinar is the most organized and professional tool in the market. We are based in Spain, and we mainly use Skype, but some times the US market asks to use GoToWebinar. This is the main reason we use it.
Join.me is something I've always used alongside GoToMeeting and Slack. I find that Join.me is easiest in setting up an impromptu meeting when needing to collaborate with team members.
