Workday Adaptive Planning is an extremely flexible foundation to model almost anything. We've found ways to build detailed models that give the planners and management at the company valuable insights into how each department is planning for the future, thus providing management the information they need to shift course if necessary. Generally its reporting is robust but it's not a substitute for Business Intelligence tool.

The customer support services have been very quick and useful to all my pertinent questions relating to the development and issues associated with the sheets, formulas and any other question I may have.
Many of the instructional guides and examples enabled me to ramp up quickly, learning the system. This not only benefited myself, but the team as a whole.
The Torchbearer Community has been a wonderful resource. I have been able to explore similar questions other analysts have had, that I had, and examine how they resolved nuances or issues with their associated questions.

Being rather new to the Adaptive product and our laser focus on capitalizing on the advantages we were severely lacking in our former budgeting tool, I don't have any solid examples of areas or room for improvement yet. As we continue to gain familiarity and begin our implementation of Phase 2 with our Program areas, I will be able to assess more in-depth whether Adaptive meets our needs fully as more individuals with varying capacities and capabilities will be involved in our Phase 2 roll out, so feedback will be plentiful.

There haven't been any lately. The only one issue I can think of is when there was an update in Adaptive that altered our reports. Before I realized there was an issue, Adaptive reached out to let me know, so that it could be fixed.

All aspects of Adaptive Insights perform well. One area that I wish was quicker was integration. When importing data from Intacct our accounting ERP platform, it can sometimes take 4 hours for the import to process. The earlier imports are done, the quicker they complete. My estimate for a quick upload is about two hours.

The online support for Workday Adaptive Planning is very helpful. I go there at least once a week to find answers to questions and they’re usually very easy to find. If i’m unsuccessful in finding the answer, I email Workday Adaptive Planning support and they’re quick to answer, willing to help, and provide great clarity on the answer if you need it.

Our 3rd party vendor walked us through the whole process and was available for questions after we started using the Adaptive Insights. I would suggest using the online training environment plus an individual walk through of your company's model to get more acquainted with the instance. There were also on-line tutorials to help us along the way.

The training program in Adaptive Insight has grown quite a bit, since I originally implemented in Adaptive Insights. I would now give it a 10 rating and suggest that anyone implementing for the first time work through the certification program. The certification program is a very detailed in depth primer to understanding how the system works.

In our experience the Adaptive Suite is quick and easy to deploy. Most implementations are facilitated in just a few weeks but may range depending on organisation complexity from say 2 to 12 weeks with only the very largest and most complex taking a little longer. When key stakeholders are properly engaged and the opportunities for skills transfer are exercised, we find that implementations proceed well and are delivered on time and to project budget

I like how easy Essbase is to pull reports - but I think that OfficeConnect fills that gap. When looking at Hyperion vs Adaptive, I think that Adaptive's input is much easier to navigate. I like Adaptive much more. Because input is so much easier, it helps me be in the system more frequently and rely on it more heavily.

We went from 2 users to 70+ users over a 2 year period of time. The application scaled wonderfully. 65 of those users were non-finance users so they were able to quickly learn the software and prepare budgets quickly and efficiently. That is the power of Adaptive and its ability to scale

Adaptive has helped our organization to streamline the forecast and budgeting process through better version control and more hands-on involvement by local stakeholders. This has led to better planning for hiring talent and analyzing student performance/retentionn factors.
Reporting has become much easier to produce and modify on the fly, which allows us to be more agile when considering future growth plans or funder/donor requests.
While our finance team has been able to engage better with various business segments, there is sometimes a lack of investment by non-finance professionals, which can lead to a lack of trust in the overall process.
