BlueJeans has better troubleshooting of attendees over Zoom. BlueJeans scheduling interface is more intuitive than Zoom. Quality and call handling has seem a little better in the competitor products over BlueJeans especially when it comes to IP/H323 dialing and bridging.

The only difference being we integrate one platform (not BlueJeans) into our entire company IT infrastructure. BlueJeans Meetings is more of an ad hoc product from what I've seen.

Simply put, this is the market leader. Most people I know only want to use one tool and this is the one they learned first. Business owners like Zoom better for overall quality of the call. Because so many people have the tool, they don't have issues with everyone joining. For my clients, Seniors were provided for free or rent tablets from Android/Google. Having a product which was handed to them preloaded with another technology on it means Seniors had to "buy" BlueJeans and download it. For Seniors, simplicity is everything - especially where technology is concerned. Sorry, BlueJeans/Verizon - you want to be market leader in this consumer space - you missed the boat. You did not consider that Seniors needed the hardware, training, and the broadband access to be the preferred choice for this segment of the US population (only 56 million people).

I selected BlueJeans due to my impression that it had better ease of use than other products and a comparable feature set. Though some of our members clamored to have us switch to Zoom, due to its perceived better feature set in early 2020, we stuck with BlueJeans and can say it has largely caught up with any feature gaps -- in particular, the ability to see video feeds from all participants.

  • Zoom
BlueJeans and Zoom are honestly the same thing, but Zoom is a lot more popular within the Zillow Group. I think BlueJeans could have better branding because the name is sort of weird and throws me off with having too many syllables. In terms of functionality, it is up to par and very similar to competitive applications.

I've tried or used:

* Webex (BlueJeans offers same or better).
* GoToMeeting & Webinar (BlueJeans offers same or better).
* Zoom (BlueJeans tends to offer better + I don't like their politics).
* Google Hangouts (BlueJeans offers FAR better).
* Skype (BlueJeans offers more).
* Join.me (BlueJeans offers much better).

Others, but so long ago I don't remember their names.

Outside of BlueJeans I have most experience with Google Meet and Zoom. I think both of those are a bit more suited to "casual" use and are known a bit more for their ease of use even without using their respective apps. BlueJeans in my mind has a more business focus.

  • Zoom
It's much more stable and safe than Zoom. The user interface is intuitive, with consistently decent video and audio quality. A fantastic product overall. Overall. It's better than larger players like Zoom, I guess. Despite their name, handheld devices, tablets and laptops are easy to use and perform well.
