Brandwatch

This area is certainly Brandwatch Analytic's strongest feature set - both in terms of how visually accessible the platform is and the ability to effectively build your own categorisation models. These set Brandwatch Analytics apart from the competition.

The dashboards are able to quickly show you what were the highlights and/or most discussed topics, as well as, high-level stats. However, it takes more time to dig through the widgets and sometimes the Excel export to really understand the conversation themes and patterns. I would love to see more visualization options.

Brandwatch Analytics excels when it comes to the variety of data that is available in the tool, as well as the flexibility the platform provides in the analysis. The dashboard can be filtered at the dashboard level or the individual widget level, and dozens of filtering options are available. Dashboards can also be customized, and they feature drill-down capabilities. The draw-backs are NLP and sentiment analysis, as well as weaker demographics data (self-identified information from Twitter profiles).

The dashboards and data visualisation are excellent.

I think the dashboard is easy to use and set up, the help and tips within the platform are really good especially the "writing a query" help and examples (which we didn't have when we first started with Brandwatch but feel are a really great addition).

Fantastic analysis and insights tools - easy to use interface.

The dashboards and creation of data visuals are some of the most useful functions of Brandwatch Analytics, especially as users can manipulate the tables, charts and topic clouds to help analyse the data. The ability to manually change the topic clouds and auto-delete irrelevant mentions is very useful. Being able to manually change the sentiment analysis is also a strong benefit, especially when tracking and comparing sentiment over time. I would like to see greater accuracy in sentiment analysis and natural language processing.

This is really where Brandwatch shines. We've been able to analyze mention pools upwards of one million. Custom rulesets allow us to assign metadata to mentions, which provides structure to the data. As anyone involved in big data knows, proper analysis is all about providing structure. Many platforms like the ability to automate this process, which makes them a very inferior product. Plus, the ability to build your own graphs allows the user to drill deep into the data. We often use the export to Excel function when we need analytics beyond what Brandwatch is able to offer, but this isn't usually needed for most clients. There is no integration with other data sources, as far as I am aware.

The dashboards and visualization in Brandwatch Analytics was pretty good. We were really big fans of the word cloud - especially the fact that you were able to click on the words in the cloud and see the exact mentions about that particular item and whether it had a positive or negative sentiment associated with it (although they weren't the most accurate). Sentiment analysis was usually pretty inaccurate. Other dashboard features like volume and timing were helpful.

Results in non English may require more attentive control.

They have a good interface and good ways to quickly dig deeper into the data. They could still further improve it with easier ways to tag and display data and analytics of the tagged data. They can help you get a good job done.

I think the dashboard and output Brandwatch provides are pretty good.

Brandwatch are good at providing surface level analytics - there is a wide range of prepopulated graphs etc. We tend not to use these as they are surface level and in my opinion do not provide insight but Brandwatch deso provide them and also provides the ability for advanced analytics.

As I've said, Brandwatch puts powerful metrics in the hands of all business, visualizations to deep analysis, it's all there when you need it. Of course there are always things that make a tool better, and the team there is actively pursuing better and better capability. Again, learning all the capability is the rub here.

The dashboard is very user friendly.

Brandwatch offers some +20 components within the dashboards to present data. The chart component itself can be configured with 100's of metrics making it absolutely outstanding.

We love the visualization capacity to surface insights and patterns. Sentiment is challenging for all platforms because of free text but Brandwatch does give you the ability to hand score or override mentions. Integration is another challenge because of normalization across competing platforms (little industry agreement). We feel that Brandwatch is one of those rare companies that pays close attention to user requests and needs and innovates quickly to help provide additional functionality

Not only are the visualisations and widgets extremely useful, but their key feature is flexibility - you can customise, mix and match the axes, you can choose the graph types and colours too if you fancy, and of course every widget is exportable too, so an analyst like myself definitely appreciates the ability to "chop and screw" the data in Excel after having manipulated it within the platform.

The analytical data provided is great and the data is well visualized in charts etc. Sentiment analysis works well. As for insight, it's to a good standard but the only way to really glean insight is for a person to look at that data and draw relevant conclusions.
