We use Netchex across our entire organization for our payroll and HR needs. The payroll component is extremely easy to use and allows our timecards to be pulled in making it convenient. All employee-related information related to payroll, benefits, and deductions is easily accessible.

It is used by our accounting office for company payroll. It enables us to process employee payroll without adding additional personnel. It has the capability of creating payroll records for hourly, salaried, and commission based employees. It also has mechanisms for adding payroll deductions for various types of insurance, holiday pay, vacation, taxes, and voluntary deductions.
Pros
  • Provides an easy to use portal
  • It accommodates all payroll deductions, and is customizable
  • It is configurable by department
  • Offers the ability for individual logins
  • Has the ability to retrieve previous payroll records
Cons
  • One step in the login process needs to be corrected
  • The non-working aspect of the login process is easily bypassed, so it doesn't prevent you from gaining access

Company payroll is what we use the system for. We have not used it for any other function.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We are currently using Netchex across our entire organization from admin to end user access for payroll and time management. When it comes to process payroll for our company Netchex makes it easy and efficient.
Pros
  • A+ Customer Service team that is always ready and available.
  • Quick integration
  • User Friendly
  • New age a cool design and lots of features to choose from.
Cons
  • Scheduling I feel still needs a little work, if you use that feature.
  • Open enrollment for benefits management is a little archaic. Needs to be updated bad and has lots of bugs.
  • Timecard system needs to be updated.
Likelihood to Recommend
I think for a small to midsize company Netchex does a great job keeping up with the big players in the industry and I would for sure recommend them as they have always done a great job for us. They are a great partner when it comes to processing payroll and staying current.

Both of our facilities use Netchex for all our payroll/HR needs. The HR department along with each of our employees have access for daily use. The ease of the system is welcoming and convenient. All employee related information, payroll, benefits, deductions, etc. are reported and easily accessed for our entire organization.
Pros
  • Payroll process is a breeze, no separation of time and pay!
  • The ability to access online information, check stubs and W2s for our employees
  • Netchex service center is awesome, always willing to help!
Cons
  • The app has some navigation issues for our employees, should be easier to access some information
Likelihood to Recommend
No matter the issues with the app, I would recommend Netchex. The company is well suited for all payroll/HR needs.

We are a Dealertrack customer and were forced to integrate with Netchex. Netchex/Dealertrack need to work on their integration and perfect the communication between the two programs. Netchex has a decent product, however, they need to beef up their support. Support is only available during regular business hours. Our company works more than just regular business hours and this is an inconvenience.
Pros
  • Simply support questions are done really well.
Cons
  • Support needs to be available more times than just normal business hours.
  • Tax support is basically non-existent. This seems that it should be TOP NOTCH.
  • Some of the functionality of the Netchex program could be tweaked. It is not a keyboard friendly program at all. Must mouse your way through. When the program times out, it takes 2 to 3 screens before it really logs you out.
  • When submitting from Netchex to Dealertrack, it would be nice to show the payroll # or payroll date that has been submitted. Currently once you hit submit, the screen reverts back to the last successful payroll submit. This process is just a bit confusing, especially for new users.
Likelihood to Recommend
Netchex has great potential, they just need to perfect what they have. Still believe that they have MUCH room to improve support especially in the area of Tax reporting and W2's.
