We were looking to improve the quality of our vendor product support, and do it at a reduced cost. We are also looking to reduce the ongoing upgrade effort. Rimini Street have been more responsive and effective across the board, and have delivered the service at half the cost. They will continue to support our current versions without the need for upgrades.

Well suited:- - supporting current versions of ERPs - driving out cost from non-differentiating back office systems - saving money between now and a future cloud migration
Reviewed the market, consulted with our licensing partner, and read Gartner reports which highlighted 3rd party support as a cost effective viable alternative. Selected Rimini Street due to their size, reputation, "fit" with our portfolio, service culture, and feedback from reference checks
Our only PM experience was with the transition where they have a well document process that is well understood by their practitioners. They are clear on their communication to customers around the plan and expectations. Induction process is well established and well presented.

There are not one but multiple issues that Rimini Street was able to resolve. We have Oracle ERP with financials/Manufacturing modules. They have been resourceful in providing post-implementation support and are versatile, responsive, and quick to understand the issue and get the solution. They have provided quick solutions to EAM, financials, and inventory issues that we run into, and they also support month-end closing issues.
  • Their ticketing system is easy and fast (within 15 minutes). Depending on the priority, an issue is assigned immediately. If the issue persists for a few hours, they have global support until the issue is resolved.
  • I have worked with Rimini Street on modules such as Payables, General Ledger, Inventory, Receivables, Purchasing, EAM, Fixed Assets, and custom programs. These could be generic or specific to an issue.
  • I had to open a priority one ticket for the month-end closing issue, and the response and solution were lightning speed.
  • I have worked with Rimini Street Engineers globally and have seen all of them treated with respect and empathy and are productive. I haven't encountered anything that would require improvement, but continue with the same level of service they have provided.
As previously stated, I have worked in Oracle ERP, and they are good at it.
Rimini Street was our provider since I start with the current organization. I have worked with Rimini Street in the past as well.
The way Rimini Street manages their support is excellent.
  • We were able to convert 80% of our Payments Electronically, which saved 250k per annum.
  • Resolving month end closing issues include savings of at least 100k.
They have proved the quality of service being provided.
We have gotten the support from Rimini for questions, know how, or issues. The support regarding questions and know how has helped us look into innovative solutions.

Rimini Street are providing level 3 - 4 support for our ERP, given we no longer have a support agreement with Oracle themselves. To date, I have raised a number of support requests and have so far been very happy with the way Rimini Street have approached each issue, and the solutions provided.

  • Initial timeliness in responding to request, however I believe they would be operating withing their agreed SLA's. I have not yet submitted a high-priority case to see how their SLA would change.
  • One ticket was mis-assigned, and while there was a definite relationship with the persons skillset due to the product, my issue was not entirely related to that product. This resulted in a lot of wasted time and effort, and frustration on my part, until the ticket was reassigned correctly.
I like to contrast my Rimini Street experience with my 20-plus years of Oracle Support (Metalink) experience. I call Metalink 'Megastink' because it seems like you have to jump through 18 different hoops before you even speak to someone, who is generally the least experienced person on the support team as they 'rotate' the new starters through the various ERP modules. It sometimes can take several weeks of kicking the SR before it gets escalated to someone more experienced. However, with Rimini Street, you speak to a true expert right from the start, who hops in and litterally works with you from the beginning to understand and resolve your issue.
End-of-life support from Oracle.
Cannot answer this as I have not experienced this aspect of their operations. I have selected the mid-point, otherwise this may skew my otherwise good experience with them thus far.

There have been no innovations, however we have been able to resolve some long-term issues with our ERP that has enabled our business to have more confidence in the software.
Decontinuation of Oracle support meant that we had to look at third-parties for support, and Rimini St showcases the best track-record.

We dropped Oracle support for our PeopleSoft ERP applications. Rimini provides support for all related ERP issues (Financials, Supply Chain, Manufacturing). Rimini Street provides a better support team with a substantially reduced cost.
  • Quick to reply to open cases.
  • Understands our ERP application.
  • Able to access our systems when required.
  • Guarantees support for all versions of our ERP applications.
  • Continue to be able to support older operating systems and database migration services.
  • Continue to advance security related support and applications around ERP systems.
Support of older ERP versions that are no longer being developed by software provider. May not be suited for newly installed ERP applications.
Rimini was able to assist in archiving current ERP version not yet implemented but was available to us. Reduction in overall support costs.
Migration project was managed and completed on time and with no major issues.
