- You can upload all video file formats to Wistia, which really helps simplify reusing content.
- One central control panel, that can be quickly and easily customised for individual projects - perfect for multi-site e-commerce companies.
- We use the analytics within Wista to judge the success of a video's styling. The bigger the stats, the more we follow that theme.
- We've not really used the Call To Action options yet as they seem a little limited; more functionality here would be good.

- It's so easy to use and that is important to me--I'm not techy and I need stuff that I can learn fast.
- It's got great bells and whistles. The videos look so professional--it's easy to put on a thumbnail and to make the player do what you want.
- Turnstile is great for capturing email addresses.
- I haven't really used it enough to have any complaints. I'm not techy, as I already said, so I don't know what Wistia could do better. They are thoroughly likable people. Customer service is good. They've got some great energy going, a good blog, and a product that does everything I've asked it to do. Now, I'm not doing a lot with it so I haven't been too demanding. Others may be able to answer better and tell what the cons are.

- Wistia allows us to time our 'ask' for a subscription to the precise second in the video where we are most likely to turn a suspect into a prospect and create a lead.
- Wistia gives a great customer or consumer experience - it's a natural fit with the flow of the video - or a natural pause in the flow :).
- The simplicity of the interface has saved countless hours of staff training and frustration.
- Because my use case is so specific and my needs are so well met, I don't have any brilliant suggestions on improvement - it works!

- The video hosting and playback provides a very solid experience for our clients.
- I really like the viewer stats for projects and individual videos. It's allowed us to see just how effective, or ineffective, our videos have been.
- In the few instances where we've run into issues with videos not loading, etc., Wistia's customer support has always been extremely quick to reply and a helpful in solving the issue.
- I really like the ability to add links to the videos during playback, but it would be nice to be able to customize them more (color, font, location, etc.)
- There have been times we've run into issues with embedding a video in our support portal and having the video not display properly based on some minor changes to how Wistia embeds the video.
- The stats are great, but it would be nice if it was a bit easier to find stats for specific videos or small groups of videos instead of projects.

Generating leads with Wistia is a breeze
- Reporting for who is watching videos, how long and how many videos.
- Collecting information such as name and email through the turnstile.
- An excellent way to organize videos through projects and sections.
- The learning center is an excellent benefit to help increase the quality of your videos.
- The community is full of experts that are happy to help with any questions you may have.
- The support from staff is fantastic.
- The only con would be that the turnstile does not currently have a phone number option to add.

You won't be wistful if you choose Wistia
- Quick and easy upload of videos. This is helpful because I don't have to go through a bunch of technically complicated steps just to get the videos up on Wistia. It saves time and frustration.
- Ability to customize the look and feel of the videos so they present well in our online Knowledge Center. This means we can have a different look for the longer knowledge transfer videos versus the very short tutorial videos, and we get to decide those looks.
- Easy capture of the "embed code." This is helpful in that we don't have to write the embed code ourselves or piece it together from different places. Wistia presents it in one box that is easy to copy and paste into the Knowledge Center. Overall, the process of uploading, customizing, and embedding our videos from Wistia into our Knowledge Center is quick and simple.
- The area for customizing the look and feel of the videos is not as straightforward as some of the other functionality. Adding a wizard-like interface to this would be ideal.

Wistia - the ideal video hosting & marketing platform
- Each video you upload is fully customizable, from the color of the player to which "share" buttons you'd like to include.
- The HubSpot integration is key, and so easy to set up.
- The call-to-action option is great - you can create short copy and a link that appears on the ending frame of your video.
- When we first started using Wistia, it was very affordable, but has gotten much more expensive for the package that includes the integrations.
- It would be nice to see stats on how many people watched on a desktop vs. tablet vs. smartphone.

- Cross-platform compatibility ~ In world that is focusing more on mobile accessibility, Wistia videos were able to play smoothly and effectively across all browsers and operating systems.
- Analytics ~ Wistia keeps adding to their "Stats" section, allowing me and my clients to see levels of engagement (minute by minute) as well as where viewers are coming from geographically. This helps us to decide which videos (or versions of the same video) are most effective.
- Customization ~ I've used the Wistia API to create custom playlists and also to trigger external scripts based on length of time viewing a video. They have many options via their multiple APIs, which (as a developer) is very appealing.
- Responsive support ~ Any time I've ever had to ask a question regarding the use of the system or in the API in particular, the support team was incredibly quick to respond and went out of their way to solve any issues or find an answer for me. The people who work there are passionate about their product and it shows.
- Ease of use with WordPress ~ Wistia has a WordPress plugin plus an easy "oEmbed" embed code that doesn't break in WordPress (as many other embed codes do)
- Works flawlessly with HTTPS ~ Other video platforms fail under https, giving warnings about "insecure content" or completely breaking a site's security.
- Integrated Social Media ~ Add social media sharing tools as well as download links easily.
- Being a video related company, Wistia provides much of their documentation as videos. While videos are engaging and can help with illustrating an issue, sometimes I am looking for a quick answer and would prefer if they had the full text of the video alongside it. This would allow me the option of watching or reading.
- As someone who works with clients who do a lot of online marketing, it would be helpful if Wistia had built-in A/B testing of videos so an outside source wouldn't have to be used for that purpose.

- The community forum on Wistia allows users to post questions, share strategies or even solicit feedback on their videos before publishing them through marketing efforts. This interactive feature is very attractive, especially for new users to bounce ideas off of Wistia employees and longtime users.
- Customer support is always a necessity for learning any new platform. While Wistia is very intuitive and pretty 'fool proof', their customer support is excellent. Questions are answered in a timely and friendly manner, with no question being too minor. Support usually answers the questions clearly and provides blogs or additional articles to further back up their recommendations or answers.
- The ability to integrate with a variety of marketing automation and email newsletter providers, such as Pardot, MailChimp and Constant Contact, is vastly important. To leverage videos across your marketing campaigns, and receive tracking every step of the way, is huge in this day and age. There is also the ability to add a 'turnstile' option to the video, either encouraging or requiring viewers to enter their email address to access the video. If you have a marketing automation tool, you can place the viewer immediately onto a list, potentially into a drip campaign about the materials covered in the video, and so on.
- Exporting CSV files for reporting can be a bit tricky. They occasionally take several minutes to pull and are typically emailed with a prompt to download instead of automatically downloading. I've found pulling reports for shorter, specific time periods can help the wait time.
- The video heat maps can take a bit of time to fully understand. It can be tricky to realize what the different colors indicate across a viewers history, and what that really means for your marketing efforts. Luckily there are blogs to help decipher the heat map and support using the analytics provided.

- Wistia struggles with large file uploads, it sends you to an HTML uploader with no loading bar, and sometimes the FTP upload fails for an hour long video.
- The .csv files do not contain enough information about analytics, we'd like to compare a video's performance this year vs last year, but that is difficult.
