Overall Satisfaction with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is being used by our entire organization. It is the primary program that we use when we're sending forms, design comps, and event notices to other departments. It is also the best pdf reader that I've come across, because it has the most options to make your PDF a fluid, easy to use document.
- Quick loading. When time is of the essence, PDFs load very quickly in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
- Ability to comment. When design comps come through, the ability to comment inside Adobe Acrobat Reader DC makes it easy for the designer to see what changes need to be made and where.
- Ability to create forms. Some PDF readers aren't capable of displaying form data, but Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has this capability, along with the ability to save a new version.
- Confusing organization. While this program has a lot of options and tools, it can be hard to remember where exactly everything is, and specific tools tend to get buried.
- Not able to edit existing PDFs. There are times where a simple nudge to a photo would make a document perfect, but the ability to edit within the PDF is not available.
- Files must be completely closed to be able to save over the file. Sometimes I need to make a quick change to an existing file, but it won't allow me to make that change if the file is open in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
- Ability to rearrange pages
- Accurate representation of files
- Ability to comment
- Increased efficiency. The ability to comment directly onto the PDF allows for edits to be made to design files quickly without having multiple programs open.
- Better communication. Again, the ability to comment directly in the file keeps us from having to use other forms of communication (like email or messaging) and potentially losing feedback.
- Streamlined process. It's a standard for me to create a pdf and immediately open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to make sure everything looks correct in the most common viewer that clients will use.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is the fastest and most accurate representation of files compared to the other programs. The only downside in comparison is that Adobe Illustrator CC has the ability to edit PDFs, where the ability to edit PDFs is not available in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. The other programs have the ability to view a PDF, but oftentimes there is some sort of visual misrepresentation and looks incorrect.
