Should I Stay or Should I Go?
Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now
We currently use ADP for HR Management and Payroll. We maintain employment records in ADP and process payroll and direct deposit employee payments in ADP for three companies. 691, 692, and 693, service center 62 We also have our 401k Retirement and Trust Fund with ADP.
Pros
- Records management
- Payroll processing
- Solicit expansion of product through messages.
- The bridge for answering common questions.
- Retirement Management and Retirement Representative, Rebecca Hatch.
Cons
- Drastic change to the bridge was unnecessary and inconvenient.
- Pay code for another state would be helpful, so we don't have to create a separate employment record for an employee who goes to LA to work for 5 weeks out of the year
- Our company was initially set up where employee initiated W-4, Direct Deposit, and Vacation submissions or changes had to be approved by HR staff before updating in ADP Workforce Now, but that changed without our approval and is very inconvenient.
- Connection to benefit providers and the passage of data on a weekly basis is great, once the carriers are connected properly
- Communication to the retirement provider was presented as immediate and we were led to believe communication and updates would be faster and smoother than we experienced with Paychex, and the communication is virtually the same. We have a much better employer rep with ADP retirement though, and for that, I have saved several hours over time.
- Benefits
- Retirement
- COBRA
We use a broker, and the implementation was poorly executed by our broker. Once fully set up, the process and communication between all carriers and providers is excellent.
Paychex was great and was functioning well. With all their emphasis on Paychex Flex, we were getting left behind with Preview. We were aware that Preview was going to "go away" and each time we spoke with them about the new Flex Platform, it was clear we were going to be a challenge with the vast number of Pay and Earning Codes, as Flex could not accommodate them. If began to feel like we were getting left behind each time we saw the Flex presentation and no change had been made to the number of allowable Pay/earning codes that could be used with Flex.
