Overall Satisfaction with ADP Workforce Now

We currently use ADP for HR Management and Payroll. We maintain employment records in ADP and process payroll and direct deposit employee payments in ADP for three companies. 691, 692, and 693, service center 62 We also have our 401k Retirement and Trust Fund with ADP.
  • Records management
  • Payroll processing
  • Solicit expansion of product through messages.
  • The bridge for answering common questions.
  • Retirement Management and Retirement Representative, Rebecca Hatch.
  • Drastic change to the bridge was unnecessary and inconvenient.
  • Pay code for another state would be helpful, so we don't have to create a separate employment record for an employee who goes to LA to work for 5 weeks out of the year
  • Our company was initially set up where employee initiated W-4, Direct Deposit, and Vacation submissions or changes had to be approved by HR staff before updating in ADP Workforce Now, but that changed without our approval and is very inconvenient.
  • Connection to benefit providers and the passage of data on a weekly basis is great, once the carriers are connected properly
  • Communication to the retirement provider was presented as immediate and we were led to believe communication and updates would be faster and smoother than we experienced with Paychex, and the communication is virtually the same. We have a much better employer rep with ADP retirement though, and for that, I have saved several hours over time.
We only use ADP in the HR Department, so I do not have any knowledge regarding how functional or scalable ADP Workforce Now is or how it can be used by multiple departments. We are not in a position where we can use WFN for timekeeping or time entry. Possibly in the future, but we are not interested at this time,
  • Benefits
  • Retirement
  • COBRA
We use a broker, and the implementation was poorly executed by our broker. Once fully set up, the process and communication between all carriers and providers is excellent.
Paychex was great and was functioning well. With all their emphasis on Paychex Flex, we were getting left behind with Preview. We were aware that Preview was going to "go away" and each time we spoke with them about the new Flex Platform, it was clear we were going to be a challenge with the vast number of Pay and Earning Codes, as Flex could not accommodate them. If began to feel like we were getting left behind each time we saw the Flex presentation and no change had been made to the number of allowable Pay/earning codes that could be used with Flex.

Do you think ADP Workforce Now delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with ADP Workforce Now's feature set?

Yes

Did ADP Workforce Now live up to sales and marketing promises?

No

Did implementation of ADP Workforce Now go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ADP Workforce Now again?

Yes

We have a new employer rep and have had limited exposure to her. So far, response time has improved, but has not been great. We are encouraged to rely on the Bridge, and the last time I used the site as a reference was just after a major overhaul to the appearance and I found it less than inviting. Not all change is good or necessary.
Well suited: ADP is very accommodating to the high number of pay/earning codes that are required by our business.
Less appropriate: I suppose our relationship with our Paychex Rep may have been extraordinary and I do have a new rep that has not been tried yet, but we have not shared the same sense of urgency since our change to ADP.
